Love a good poll, please vote above. For me has to be Washington and Sharp. Washington did great when he came on IMO, he's got some decent pace, works his socks off and was very unlucky with what would have been goal of the season. Billy has to play for me simply because he is our best finisher. Goldy is a great player but not a striker for me, seemed all our best chances fell to him and he never seems to be able to finish, having said that he's got some good skill and plays well (not as well as Duffy) in the Duffy role so I think he should primarily be a Duffy replacement after 60 mins or starting there if Duffy isn't fit. Leon just isn't in form ATM so I don't think he can be justified to start.

I love McGoldrick and what he brings to the team, but I'm starting to wonder if we can afford to have one of the front two be a striker whose finishing is so poor.

Sharp and McGoldrick is the most suitable pair for Reading away.

Extremely annoying to think that McGoldrick's possibly cost us wins in all 3 recent derbies though. I suppose we're paying the price for him daring to score a few goals earlier in the season. It's what happens.

On paper the best 2 are probably McGoldrick and Sharp.
However there’s not a massive difference between the 4 and they all offer something different.

Might sound a bit stupid but sometimes Wilder will watch all 4 in training during the week
And pick the striker that looks up for it and in the best form.

None of our strikers are in scoring form. Washington has shown enough in the last two games to be given a chance. Play him with whichever other Wilder feels would partner him best.

Agree, like I said above he's a great player but not a great striker. If he could finish he'd be prem material but unfortunately twas not to be.

Washington won't work if the other team sit back. I don't know how Reading play but I wouldn't imagine they'd be gung go.

Bill and McG

I went with Washington and McG - But I actually want Washington and Sharp with McG behind instead of Duffy. Or we could play Duffy and McG behind Sharp.

Leon (if fit), that goal at Brentford could be the spark and he seems in better form lately. Washington who based on the last two games deserves his chance.

I was thinking the same,i wouldn't mind seeing Clarke and Washington at Reading..Leon gives us the power and presence and Washington will run and chase all day and has a threat in behind.
Not saying Billy or McG need dropping, just something i'd like to see at some point.

Clarke and Sharp. Washington on the bench as an impact sub and McGoldrick to come on for Duffy when he’s out of puff.

Personally I think Sharp has to stay in the starting 11 as he is currently our best striker, yes he has missed a couple of good chances but they were from headers which isn't his biggest strength. I'd also like to see Washington have a go from the start alongside him. He looks well up for it and his last two performances have warranted it imo.

That's not to say that McG deserves dropping, as he is still playing very well but if he keeps missing sitters the supporters will start to get on his back [not out of malice but just frustration]. The counter argument to that is that he keeps getting into goalscoring positions and he won't score on the bench. Still I would pick Washington ahead of him for the next match, just to mix it up a bit.

Clarke also looks to be getting his shooting boots back, but I would still keep him on the bench for now as a potential match winner. On his day he is the best finisher at the club so it's up to him to take any chances that fall to him as he strives to get his place back.

So Sharp and Washington for me.
