Strike partnership found?

I honestly don't think his first touch was the issue, it was the fact he couldn't get a second touch after the first, and when he did, he didn't seem to know what to do with it and lost the ball?
He sempt to keep losing the ball in his own legs?

The fact that he couldn't get a second touch (or shot in the instance I'm thinking of) suggests that his first touch didn't set him up like it should.

Still, thought he had a good game. Room to improve, but a solid performance nonetheless.

Despite his fitness issues Mousset is on 2 goals which should have been 3 had it not been for one being chalked as an own goal. Either way 3 in 6 or 2 in 6 is pleasing and he's played a lot less minutes than McBurnie and Robinson who don't link up well with their front partner, and don't look capable of scoring.

It reminds me of when we had Neil Shipperley. Play him until he's knackered or we're worse off without him. Once he's fully fit I've no doubt that he'll be immense for us.

Think Edwards/Morris or Deane/Agana.

How long ago was that? We’ve had successful sides since then. McGoldrick has to start when fit, he’s our best footballer and links the midfield to his fellow striker, its him + probably Mousset. Until we spend more money in January, which I’m told we will.

I don’t disagree. It’s a long time ago. I’m talking about about ideal situations here. That’s what I’d like to see. Every top Blades side I’ve seen has had that front pairing who are like clockwork. It’s not there currently.

All the top Blades sides I’ve seen have top midfields and I think that’s more important in terms of success.

I thought we looked a lot more threatening with having someone in that No 10 role linking the midfield and the attack. Didzy played well and there were signs of a blossoming partnership with Mousset.

Re Mousset, I thought he played well and posed a threat to their defence. Only thing is we could have done with someone with his pace and power coming off the bench. Key question therefore is how to use him most effectively for the good of the team.

Was there on the night and watched whole game playback on sky. Mousset did very little other than score his sitter, usually giving ball away. Dont thinks we've settled who plays with Didsy yet who CW uncharacteristically singled out as a key fixture in this team with flat midfield system that is brilliantly piling on the points. Sorry Billy looks a bit out of his depth. I think if Mcburnie hits his stride he could be the one. Let's hope this week is his season low point, the daft bugger.
