The police were a friendly bunch smiling and chatting before and after the match. Pleasure to meet them!

Nothing like the hostile stuff we get at the Lane!

Also the Stoke fans clapping us and the Blades fans clapping Stoke on their lap of honour....thier manager gave us a lot of praise as he passed.

Class shown by all and perhaps my best visit to Stoke ever!

:)

Pity it doesn't say "BBC...up for a feight" on there too.
Not because I like those cretins...but anything that mocks the police is good for a laugh.

I was sat with home fans today, I'm delighted some of you saw fit to give me abusive hand gestures :)

Got called out by a big lad early in second half "You're a Blade, aren't you?".. so despite all mine and Jnrs efforts..

Once the truth confirmed they were alright.

In discussion..

Stoke are consistently inconsistent.

They have respect for Blades and Wilder in particular.

They think, despite what they were shouting, that we have a good fighting chance of staying up.

Our defence is sound, might need some extra pace up front.

They don't like Port Vale.

Not even a little bit.

I've had a good day and I'm sinking into a Wilder Peroni Wonderland.

I was speaking to a couple of coppers pre match and they were really friendly.

Interesting incident as we were walking to the ground. A few inebriated blades ahead of us must’ve said something to some stoke fans as they passed. Must’ve touched a nerve as one big stoke lad turned and went after the blade. A very smart copper grabbed him by the arm, spun him around and sent him back on his way saying “one idiot doesn’t need to ruin the day for you”

Could’ve been a flash point and no doubt SYP and other forces would’ve stood back and just filmed it whilst it happened. No harm was done and nobody got arrested. Just smart policing

Thought the police and stewards were great yesterday, whilst the Allez action was going off on the concourse at HT they stood back, they allowed the smoke bomb to go off and didn’t do anything.

Reminded me of MK the way they let us have our moment

Stoke really has changed, the words Stoke and friendly are barely mentioned in the same sentence. :)
This is so true...the most violent place i've ever been....Millwall etc were nothing compared to Stoke in the early days!

You don’t even have to go back to the days of The Victoria Ground, we played Stoke in 1997? One of the worst bits of violence I’ve encountered at a game of football, claret everywhere.

Certainly different the other day....maybe times are changing for the best!
