Ref been poor with the new rule, two cases with Peck and Cisse, both given a clip or a whack and they’ve gone down, but neither wanted the physio on and they were getting up to hobble on… Not good enough for the ref, get off for a minute.

Why not just ask the player if he needs treatment? If he doesn’t then it’s up to the player to get himself up and carry on. The ref can just restart play. Neither was rolling around time wasting

Bamford is getting no support from bbd,peck or ollie, RND has put in 3/4 good crosses and no one breaking their necks to back up on the rhs .
Plus this coming from a centre half who couldn't trap a bag of cement!! Some of these have no ball control.

No idea what the plan is to create opportunities. Through the middle, out wide for crosses, play for fouls and throws near their box, over the top (absolutely no pace and athleticism whatsoever in this team anyway) - we're doing none of it and don't even look like doing it. If it is to pass it around and then back to Copper to punt it, we're even doing this from our own attacks, then no one is even challenging and they just get the ball back.

The way we play it's like the last 5mins and everyone is done in and trying to manage themselves. Biggest problem is, at HT the opposition usually change it up to exploit what they've observed and we come out and do exactly the same.

I agree it works with those 2 but you can tell he never actually planned for this system in the transfer window otherwise he’d have brought in 2 wing backs as cover rather than Doherty and Choudhury. He should’ve always played 5 atb with the players we’ve got

Plenty of hot air from Wilder prior to this game but when it kicks off it is just rinse and repeat.

The good news is we're not losing. The rest is a depressing half of football. Galbraith and Soumare have control of the middle and Peck is fighting a losing battle on his own. Phillips and Arblaster non existent. At the back RND is doing ok. Baptiste looks a little flakey against pace. Up front there isnt one. We havent won one ball in the air and we are reduced to long aimless punts. No pace, no plan, no passing that will open up the opposition.

Stoke will do what all teams do against us just after half time push up 10 yards and we will fail to react.

Donovan has to come on early but that would require a proactive tactical decision. SUFC coaching staff dont do pro active.

I find myself getting so wound up by United and how frustrating our performances are every week, and I know I should just accept this is us under Wilder. He isn’t going to change.

We were shite to watch when we had Hamer, O’Hare, Brooks, JRS, Souza, Anel and we were the third best team in the division. And we were told by Danny Hall & Rob Staton we were ‘entitled’ because promotion mattered more than entertainment.

Well now we’re even shitter to watch, with a boring group of players, and the best we can realistically hope for is mid table.

I’m BORED of us. We’ve been boring for years. Is it really entitled to want to see my team attack a little, play some nice football, have a bit of a go?

Woeful, uninspiring half of football. Lacking any technical quality, positional intelligence, or meaningful work rate.

Choudhury and Arblaster have been almost complete passengers. Bamford looks like he spent last night out on the piss. BBD seems to think the aim is to run into as many opponents as possible.

We indicated a back 4 in the warm up, but Baptiste is tucked in so tightly that he can't cover anything down the Stoke left. And Hamza is so fucking bone idle that he isn't tracking back to offer support. And yet, astonishingly, we also have zero offensive threat down that side either. Has anybody actually been told to play on the right hand side?

I'd expect to see Stoke bring on Gallagher and/or Hirst early in the second half, as they have been wasteful with the chances they've had. Even more so when you consider they've been able to break through the middle with absurd ease.

Meanwhile, we'll wait till 60 mins before making some straight swaps - probably Ayew for BBD as a starter and then go from there
