I wonder if a young Billy, fresh out of journalism college, ever foresaw that he'd write the actual phrase ''without knowing too much about (the thing wot I have been asked to write about')...''.
It’s not exactly asking for Watergate levels of investigation to establish what kind of defender he is. Even worse, the rules which govern whether Radic would be eligible to play in England are in place. I don’t know what they are, but it’s surely not beyond a journalist to find out and report accordingly.

That's click bait for you. The star broke the story this site leach off it.

PurpleRain what's your thoughts on this?
Radic is a big talent, u20 Croatian internationals usually develop into very good players if you look at Croatian players last 20 years. He probably will not want to play in Belgian second division next year so a transfer is on the cards. Was bought for around 400k it was rumored with big sell on percentage for his Croatian ex-club. We hope to get 1mio plus and hopefully this money is then spent wisely on building a new team. I think in 3/4 years Radic will be a playing at the highest level. From a United World perspective it would be insane to let him leave the group of United can use this player. It’s not like big talents from big football nations are lineing up in numbers to sign for a United World team so if you have one in your hands you keep him. That’s my opinion.

Where do you feel Beerschot really are lacking this season? Curious because as you say, Radic has a future at a decent level in defence, Sebaoui I've been really impressed with as an attacking midfield outlet. Sanusi was supposed to boost the team when he came back into midfield and did so but only initially.

Then up front Shankland has looked better I'd say as the season progressed.

Left back is obvious but who do you think the team should be replacing or should I say who let them down, assuming your main XI got picked from:
G - Biebauw, Vanhamel
D - Dom, Halaïmia, Radic, Bourdin, Van den Bergh, Lemos, De Smet
M - Sanusi, Pietermaat, Rigo, Coulibaly (limited apps)
AM - Vaca, Holzhauser, Sebaoui
S - Shankland, Avenatti, Suzuki, Noubissi

That's what I wondered too. Especially as Beerschot are going to be a second division club next season.

Next season doesn’t matter I don’t believe. As long as his last game was in the top division. That was the problem with the French lad he started a game in serie B

Don’t think it’s playing in a game but when the next season starts so to speak as that’s when he officially becomes a lower league player. So in the prem that’s after the first owners meeting of the year I don’t know when it is for Belgium.

Great knowledge there! Fair play. Hopefully this is one deal we could seal for a relative small fee.

Someone said above that it’s more a case of the club being relegated and being registered with them but you remain a top flight player until some point in June I believe it is

We lack a reliable goalkeeper, left back, wingers and a striker with pace and trickery. All the other positions are ok but going into next season many will leave and a complete re-build will be needed. Biggest gap to fill is a DoF with know how and an owner with money to invest.

Chuckled at the last line. We know the feeling.
I suspect our toys will be out of the pram this August too.

Today in our local newspaper: Coulibaly not rated by Heckingbottom and could stay another season at Beerschot, Radic likely to go to United. Sebaoui wanted by half of Belgian first division clubs. Rigo’s contract extended, first player to commit to us for the season in second division.

If Sebaoui stays he could really be the one to take you back up.

If he is allowed to leave then United should really be considering him.

He has an obvious big game temperament evident from his early appearances.

He should be top of the list.

Lose Berge and Gibbs-White realistically. Replace with a combination of N'Diaye and Sebaoui.

No brainer for me. First game he came on as sub, helped set one up, then picked up the ball in the 93rd minute and put a pen away. I thought 'hello'.

Already being recognized by the International U23 team.

It would be as daft as not signing Kevin Davies when he was under our noses at Chesterfield.

Agreed, we need to be seriously looking at bringing him over.

APOLOGIES!

I missed this on first look!!
Ignore the other thread!

Would it be realistic to do a swap deal of Sebaoui and Radic for Coulibaly + cash?

Would make a lot of sense to get this kid Sebaoui to Bramall Lane for at least a season. Even if it's just a serious shop window to maximise sale price for United World.

E.g. Man City brought Aaron Mooy over with no intention of him ever playing for Man City.

Ooh, side note, let's try and get Aaron Mooy back over.

N.B. I've never seen Sebaoui play, but going on PurpleRain and co saying he's very good.

So if he's wanted, we line up a knock down price give the relegation, so little or nothing goes to his previous club but add a 5% sell on clause back to Beerschot.
OR link the two players price together. Pay over the odds for Sebaoui and less for Radic and feck all for the sell on.
Proper Spurs level shit housing.
