Could be something in that. When Bela Lugosi died midway through filming, they had a stand in doing his part. Would explain what happened when Hammond was here, no way he could have been a Premiership footballer, must have been a stand-in ;)

Bette Davis couldn't really pull it off though. Wolf man meets Wolf Woman was a box office flop. I saw at Park Pictures years ago

I have it on good authority that Mr Meadows is a deceased Mr Meadows

Did he ever really exist? I’m surprised!

I thought it was a code word for “get off your fat arses and look like you’re doing summat”.

I went to watch Forest at Rotherham a couple of seasons ago and the Forest supporters were showing off. Calling Millers "A town full of peados" and Millers returning "scab scab". Forest fans were fighting with each other (one was a women) and about 4 of them got ejected by stewards once the fracas died down.
It was a sell out and we were in the bottom corner of the New York right next to the Forest fans. There was about 50 stewards and police keeping them apart.
We were probably sat just behind you , it was funny when that posh bitch , who thought she had got away with it , got ejected , she looked like butter would not melt ,but got a few cheeky slaps in on the Bloke , who was that pissed he had to be carried out .

Extraordinary. Two lines of stewards at Bramall Lane end one in yellow and one in orange high viz jackets, one lined up along goal line and one along 18 yard line All facing Swansea supporters. By this time a lot of Swansea fans had left anyway. I think the stewards actually outnumbered the fans left on the terrace. No idea what it was all about!

As someone else pointed out, it felt like United demonstrating how ultra cautious we are to whoever from the safety was was in attendance. It's likely that we'll have a bunch of sellouts on the way and having a couple of thousand seats we currently can't sell must be hurting
