Only posting because I've not heard anything about this anywhere else. Somebody on twitter reckons they'll be a triple signing, one of which is Hammond's extension, and another being Quinny on loan.

Could be complete bollocks, but thought it was worth posting.

I know your only posting Blade 95 but I'm sure you laughed at that rumour as much as we did.:D

I hope your Bollocks are complete, and if you ever want to be posting or passing them around, please make sure they are clean, or better still keep them to yourself.

Too soon to become unsettled, then?

I don't rule this out due to the fact that he still has many friends in the area and a genuine affection for the club. He's been to see us play a few times.

Reading fans rate him pretty highly. Think he spent a while out injured though

This confirms it then, I was only missing the injury and 'needs at least a dozen games to get match fit' for the full Blades Transfer Check list :

- Former Blade - Check
- Playing at a higher level - Check
- Ageing - Check
- Past his prime - Check
- On his way down, rather than up - Check
- Lacks pace - Check
- Recently injured - Check
- needs at least a dozen games to get match fit - TBC

Lets just hope that the Transfer Committee push the boat out and pay 'more than he's worth' on a 5 year deal.

I didn't rate him when he was here but after he left you soon realised what a difference he made. Works his nuts off, always available and wanting the ball. Would be a decent loan signing if it came off.

That's a problem many blades players have to deal with. Doyle and Montgomery are two others

And the Blades fans checklist;

Take a Twitter rumour and get annoyed at the club for having their name in it........check

:)

Could add Hammond and Coutts to the list too. The amount of fans that were moaning about them at the start of their time here. You could see Coutts had it from day one.
Could you eckers like. Paul Coutts has stolen a wage for almost an entire year. He's coming good now, I'm happy to accept. I feel no shame, whatsoever, in pointing out that he has short changed his paying customers up until recent times.

There's only one if us that gets rich out of the deal.

Whats not to believe? You do realise that Quinny used to play for us don't you?

Jeez, bloody cynical today aren't we ;)

I did...

FEB 2015...
Loads of people that sit near me whinge about him claiming he's not good enough. I'm impressed with him so far. He is great on the right with Brayford but I wouldn't have expected him out there. His physique suggests he's a box-to-box CM.

Like him so far

MARCH 2015...

Coutts - Once again everybody was grumbling about this guy towards the end of the first half. He played three poor balls, all of which were intercepted.
Prior to that, he was casual on the ball and opened up space well in the middle of the park.
At one point the guy in front of me turned to his wife and said "I really don't like him, he's rubbish. Do you like him?" she looked at him and went "nooo, I don't like him either". Could've said that he was black and i'm sure she would've agreed.
Any way, when it was announced he was being subbed he cheered more the when we scored.

I'm not denying that you did. But it's clear there are times when some people are desperate to see good things, just like some are desperate to see bad things. We are all guilty at times, and this is such an occasion.

Paul Coutts contiribution (something different to "I can see a player in there"), up to the last 5 or 6 weeks, has been sub standard even at third division level.

Thankfully, it's coming good now. :)

I just figured if Derby fans thought he was still good enough for the Championship, he was more than good enough for League 1. And the fact when he got the ball, even when he first joined, he didn't panic to get rid of it - Which is always a sign of someone that is a decent footballer.

The transfer rumours are getting worse on here. Not only do they smell increasingly more like bullshit they become more boring every season. Have folk got nothing better to do?

I can tell you now they'll make one permanent signing in a position we don't need and loan someone crap in a position we do. Same every year.....now everyone do themselves a favour and put a good film on, read a book or something.....disappointment looms like an ever present fart.

Whatever happened to keith quinn the most talented of the three

Looking at Wiki, played for Bluebell something or other in Ireland after us, then a succession of Irish clubs, none of whom he seemed to be a success at, strange one.
