Step forward whoever has always advocated Flynn for right back.

I think it is important as Brayford showed last season. His attacking play gave us another dimension when we were struggling to break defensive opponents down. So did Lowton when we scored nearly 100 goals.

It's not just the formation. It's the fact that more often than not in this division, opponents are happy to sit back against us and soak up the pressure. Having a full back who doesn't have the ability to get forward and create (e.g. McMahon) is a luxury we can't afford.

Absolutely right, but does Clough agree? I don't see our full backs pushing on very often. I think it's a problem with playing two wingers because the space out wide is taken.

Which alternatives does he provide?
He's quicker and stronger than both Flynn & Davies and at attacking set pieces he provides a good option at the deep hit far post ball where his excellent leap has surprised several taller defenders this season.
Just out of interest, how many times have you seen him play this season. No porkies now! :-)

He was solid defensively and great going forward at RB today.

Is he consistent enough stay at RB though? Not sure but certainly a first choice RB at this moment in time.

To be honest, only about 4 times. I think he's alright, nothing more. I think he works hard, puts in a decent tackle, is alright positionally and offers nothing on the ball really.
