A favourite of mine fella. But I fear the Scottish game has fallen further behind since then. And our last 3 recruits back this up.

UTB
Sorry to hear that alcoblade. I know the square root of bugger all about players North of the Border, or come to that, South of the Border, I picked Jock out because, I believe that when we signed him. he was a part timer with a job on a farm?
My point is, are we in touch with those at the grass roots of football. I realise that in our desperate situation we need players for the here and now, but somebody up there found Jock, may be there is a scout up there who knows how milk gets into coconuts, or how Jocks could adapt to our methods. improve our team?

From what I've seen he certainly looks quicker in body and mind than everyone else around him. If the footage I've seen reflects his general level of performance then he's well worth giving a chance to.

Looks like someone has pressed the fast forward button on their remote but only he knows it!

Could be he is very quick in body and mind, or that scottish defenders are just painfully slow :)

I think the welcoming party of fellow nationals Murphy, Flynn and Collins should sway it our way

I dream of a world where people finally learn to take absolutely no notice of football players in YouTube videos.

I dream of a world where fans give players and managers a chance. It has to be a first to climb into an entire nation as shit footballers though. Well done whoever thought that one up.

Better we get a convicted rapist out of jail and a serial GBH offender eh?

Know Jack-all about the lad but having watched this clip he does seem to look very bright, pacey and direct. Seems to like to run at players through the Middle of the park which is something that we miss so we are looking in the right area. I know some peoples opinions of Scottish players eg Murphy & Flynn, but for me those two are cracking players if on their game and played correctly as we have seen since Clough came in.

Looks like he can actually beat a man though.

According to one Livingston fan (not sure if his view is echoed by others) Scougall's potential far exceeds ex Livingston players Snodgrass & Dorrans.

If so he might turn out to be a gem of a find.

Aye but alas only one arm.

Still, good to see the Blades subscribing to the Disabilities in the Workplace policy..

I agree with it too. I'm just not happy with our 'lack of ability in the workplace' policy.

Tough little bugger n'all according to this...

Just a normal night around West Lothian. He'll think he's ended up in Camberwick Green if he comes here...

For an initial down-payment of 150k, what have we got to lose?

The lad looks to have bags of potential, is young, and likes to go forward. He's a positive player, rather than a negative one.

Most of the top flair players have been small, light and nimble - Tony Currie, Lionel Messi, Archie Gemmill, George Best, Alex Sabella, Johan Cruyff. And the list goes on and on! Maybe it's their lower centre of gravity that gives them the edge? It does seem strange that so many of them have been so smallish in stature. It's no coincidence!

Sign him up and see where it leads!

If it works, we will have a multi-million pound player on our hands in 4-5 years time? If it doesn't, we'll more than likely get our money back.

All you doubters and misery guts, that are desperate to piss on anything that United do, would be the first to scream, "we should have signed the lad up" if he is playing for Chelsea, or Man U, in a couple from now.

Up the Blades!

I think it's both. Those videos look like a Benny Hill sketch where the rest of the cast have forgotten their part!

My request for info from NOTB has come back with "quick" and "one for the future"......

I liked the first bit anway:(

A bit of info from the 365 jock thread...

The most talented player to emerge from Scotland's best youth set up

Despite looking pre-pubescent he is a fantastic wee talent. If the move goes through you'll enjoy watching him play, a genuinely delightful player to watch

He'll be sorely missed but we're on the brink of our 3rd admin in 10 years so need the cash

Did he play at the lane against England? none of em were any good

Scotland are crap at football, so the chances of signing a Scottish youngster who turns out to be world class is pretty slim.

Can anybody fault that logic??

Yeah, every player has to be judged individually. If a good player popped up in San Marino, it might have been deemed statistically unlikely beforehand, but that has no bearing on the chances of that player becoming a great in future.

What I would say is that the odds of us unearthing a great player AND signing him are always going to be slim. We'd have to get lucky in that a player of reasonable promise (whom the big clubs disregard) really kicks on after we sign him.

(the opposite of Jamie Murphy...)

Good point JohnDenver, it made me think of the great George Weah who, while at PSG and AC Milan, was world class. Believe he was born in Liberia, not a country noted for it's prolific output of decent footballers.

So much for Quakers porridge oats.

Scots are more brave fart than braveheart.

The second is what John Harris said when he signed TC.

Looking back, when a manager said that he had signed one for the future. What he really meant was "I've beaten you lot to sign a bloody genius who I will play from day one. T.C. Deano and others, managers scouts, up your nose with a rubber hose, we have had the players. What a pity that the sell sell board could not keep our best players.

Had we kept such as Walker and McNaugton, added the bambino,to the mix and we would piss this league
