Well given that he was carrying injuries for both of those, I'm optimistic. On the other hand I don't believe in gut feelings either so I'm happy to wait until next season, I just don't understand why people want to get rid of him before he's been tried. It's like picking up a second hand car, taking it for a drive and it being low powered. Somebody has a look at it and one of the plugs is knackered but no it was crap last time you drove it so you give it away.

My worry is his body is no longer up to the demands of pro football.

He was pretty injury prone in the championship with us the first time, that was when he was young.

I would be over the moon if it happened, but it would be Roy of the Rovers stuff.

Was thinking more along the lines of Chris Porter v Forest myself. A player nobody expects much from suddenly scoring a big goal or 2 then having a purple patch.

It's a long shot like.

What was actually wrong with Ched?
He always seems to pick up minor injuries affecting his fitness.
inevitable really if you have been out of the game at this level for so long.. i always thought he was bought with 'next' season in mind.. he is still on catch up.

With Evans it's a lot like Christmas but instead of "two more sleeps" it's "two more pre-seasons"

I can confirm that Couttsy (Coutinho ? Courts ?) was looking pretty good on Tuesday night; crutch-free, moving smartly up and down the New Stand steps behind the dug outs, big smile on his boat race. He had a better game than Leadbitter, too :D
