Yes Sheff - this table position chart shows that it always takes the new boys 3 or 4 games to get used to Tufty's system, but then they fly.

Not entirely accurate: this year and 2 seasons ago Wilder changed what he was doing after initial setbacks. It wasn't the players getting used to things, it was players being asked to do different things (plus new players coming in late eg Moore and Ebanks-Landell 2 years ago and Norwood this year).

One thing I like about the way Wilder works is that he hasn't been afraid to go back to the drawing board if it's not working. The contrast with Weir trying to get players to do what they manifestly could not week after week, or with Adkins playing Hammond every week despite his shortcomings, is stark.
