2 points a game over the season gives us 92 points and promotion.

We have played 16 at home and 16 away and got 64 points from those 32 games - spot on target.

We have picked up 4 points from 2 tough away games - spot on target.

For the first time for longer than I remember we have a really professional set up.

8 points from the next 4 games, we are still on target, and then our run in should be manageable by such a professional outfit.

No dramas please, just steady progress, I'm getting too old for stress.

I think we would need to have three or four locked up. We aren't as dependant on one player as we were last time we looked this good.

I have it on good authority Sharp,Lavery and Hansen have Done it and will miss the rest of the season.:(

I just always thought 3 points were better than 1 or none, maybe even better than 2!!
Would've liked to have seen Hanson inplace and Done on the bench, but happy with the rest of the team, just shows the strength of the squad.
Shame about the draw, I know it's nothing to worry about and a point is better than none, but for me, these three games are 6 pointers, and I know there's no such thing, but we could get some air between us n the other 2 this next week!
Fingers crossed!!

Hmm. This post got me thinking. I think we are just as dependent on one player as we were last time.

League goals that season
Evans 29
Williamson 13
Cresswell 9
Lowton 6
Porter 5
Squinny 4

This season:
Sharp 20
Freeman 6
Duffy 5
EEL 5
Scoogs 4
Lavery 3

Kinda similar.

In terms of assists:
Quinn 14
Evans 13
Cresswell 10
(I can't find any more stats on this but I expect Willo and Lowton to figure prominently)

This season:
Fleck 11
Duffy 6
Coutts 4
Freeman 4
Sharp 4
Lavery 3

I think we're highly dependent on Sharp. And of course, none of the above numbers relate to Moore, who is also crucial to the side. If either of those two were ruled out for the rest of the season, I would start to wobble a bit. Fleck to a lesser extent because, even though he's been brilliant, we do have a lot of good midfield options.

How would we feel on Saturday if Long appeared on the teamsheet?

I take your point, however I would say that at least we have a player who can step in and do a good job if the unthinkable happened. Whereas Ched was so far and away head and shoulders clear of anyone else and we had no player who could step in.
Even Long....with the current defence in front of him would be ok. Granted he will probably still be that bit shaky under crosses and commanding his box, but shot stopping he is more than good enough at.
