We are shit and they are good

Fans foolishly believe that players have an affinity with the clubs they play at so wrongly assume that players who enjoyed s good spell here would cone back for slightly less money than they could earn anywhere else

We are shi and have zero chance of signing anyonedecent unless it isby accident and they are so determined and focussed to succeed they are using us as a stepping stone knowing they will be sold at tgefirst sign of any outside interest

We are shit and football supporters drink a lot of alcohol which causes nostalgic thoughts , without these two things football stadiums across the world would be empty

I'm not sure that will apply for all players though.

Stead is a genuine guy who the fans had a real affinity with. And he had an affinity with the fans.

Possibly but I can't see lower end championship clubs not being interested. Barnsley were rumoured to be interested for one. I imagine he might have a couple of offers and is simply holding out until preseason starts before deciding.
