With the crowd dropping below the 20,000 figure it's likely that the club will be desperately making plans on how to get attendances back up (winning might be a start).

They know that the real core of supporters will be there no matter what, which means concentrating on the stay aways.

So it'll be the people that don't go that will be setting the policy, not the real supporters.

A bit like all those deals in the high street for new customers, with sod all for the existing ones.

Might not be fair, but that's business.

Nothing wrong with the club trying to attract supported back and reignite their intrest in the club. As most of the fans seem to be staying away due to the standard of football and the lack of direction at the club any efforts by the board to turn this around would surely be a good thing?

The only downside I could see is if they offer significant enough a discount as to make watching the Blades from match to match less expensive than the cost of a season ticket in the same stand and so piss off people who showed their support and paid up front before the season kicked off.

I wonder if they will end up going the other way after the Palace game (where I expect the lowest crowd of the season) and think 'the crowd has still dropped with tickets at a tenner and all we've had is abuse over trying to doing something to help with flags, so fuck 'em, no more offers'.

I sincerely hope so, other than the odd quid a kid day.
