I do feel inhibited but like the rest of us , have had the stuffing knocked out of me with Wembley visits , losing out in play offs , under performing players and teams .

All a bit shell shocked and battle weary . The bottom line Sheffield United do not deserve the loyalty and level of support they have had over the years . Forget Newcastle , Man City for level of under divided love , support and blinded loyalty , no fan base matches .( It's our only way forwardours and the board need a wake up call on this one . Talk about taking us for granted in previous years .

Hard to be vocal after years of football abuse . Wilder is turning us around but physiologically the fans are still bruised badly . Hats off to the lads and lasses on the Kop . South stand has a conservative ageing band of fans .

I'm in my early sixties and have a season ticket seat near the front of the kop. Because of the lack of vocal support in that area I've started to stand at the back of the kop.

Call it a mid life crisis but I'm supporting the team vocally from a position that I did when I was a teenager.

If you feel inhibited then may I suggest you move. Just do it for the rest of this season. Let me tell you Woody you'll not change people around you by just posting on here.

Don't blame the South Stand pal - that's easy meat. The facts are (and always have been in the 40 odd years I've been going diwn there) that it's the youngsters on the kop who start the atmosphere going and then all sides of the ground follow and join in. Even with us playing the best football we've seen for years this season and even with over 20.000 in the ground, the kop has been like a library most matches. Maybe they are too busy texting and Facetiming their mates to be passionately interested? Whatever it is, the kids on the kop today are cardboard cut-outs of the fans from yesterday. (Not all - there's a little bunch of about 30 of them in the top left corner of the kop as you look at it from the South Stand who try and make an effort - the same kids who got the brollys out a couple of seasons ago and sang "singing in the rain". True Bkades them. Worthy of their place on the Shoreham and eventually in heaven.

But the majority are a silent set of moaners. Too young to know what a great club this is. Not old enough to have witnessed this team when it was one of the very best in this country. And they might manage one chorus of the chip butty song then they're done!

That's the problem!

I think Wilder and the squad have earned our support this season, and we should get behind them for the remaining games, no questions asked. The right atmosphere could just make a difference. If it all goes wrong, we've got all summer to have a moan, but moaning now will achieve nothing. I understand the problems caused by the wasted years, but let's enjoy the success so far this year and go for it. And I'm sure I'm not the only one on here thinking if we don't have some success soon, we won't be around to enjoy it. As Bill Bryson wrote recently, you know you're getting old when you no longer qualify for early onset dementia! Get singing!

I just love every one and everybody round us, it's just that they are what they are. I would never move away from them.

I have in my mind what they could do if they were Leicester supporters last season, that's what I mean.

Whatever the thoughts of the OPs rallying call he's bang on when he says the 2000 away supporters create more noise than the 20,000 at home. It's fantastic to be involved in a great atmosphere and those that travel will tell you that they enjoy away days far more. We are more than capable of recreating it at home and while we've won nothing yet it if people can't get excited at the moment with the team flying high then when can they? The Scunny/Bolton games should take care of themselves. Having said that I'd be very worried if they didn't.

The one thing that can gaurantee a vociferous home crowd is when we are the underdog. Premier league or just FA Cup, when the odds are stacked against us we will back our team to the hilt. I know this happens frequently around the country (Lincoln last night?) but we seem to be experts at it

The next three fixtures are all home games which we can win. Imagine the table with three straight wins!

Our manager said recently that the games against Scunny, Bolton etc. are not the vital ones, this run of games is vital for promotion.

We fans need to play our part. I sit in central South stand where it is very difficult to express any emotion, rather the 'mumble against' is the general persona in our rarified atmosphere. Central South Stand is mostly aged, we've had our tickets since the stand opened. In some ways that insulates the Board from the real feelings of the supporters. All they hear is a distant hub hub from the Kop which I might say is just not audible enough. Poor in fact for a club that intends to go places. Hey fellow fans, Over these next 3 games let's show the club that we fans intend us "to go places".

This is the 3 match time when our club can make a statement. Put your two'penneth in lads and lasses. I'll do it in the central area of the South Stand. I'll stand up, do it and feel absolutely isolated.

Examine that. For a club who believes, that's what it does. Do we believe in Chris Wilder.

LET'S SHOW CHRIS WILDER WE ARE WITH HIM: 3 GAMES: WIN LOSE OR DRAW LET'S DRAW OUR LINE IN THE SAND FOR CHRIS WILDER.

I never leave a game without a sore throat! I only ever sit in the Kop or Westfield health corner (My old man gets cheap tickets for it through work).

I have been on occasion "that guy" who is seeming the only nob ed in the westfield health corner shouting the likes of "F****** come on lads" and so on. Abusing the ref etc, all in good humour I might add. I couldn't care less what people think of me, which I think is why some people quietly mumble to themselves instead of giving it the beans.

The Kop is full of like minded shouty bastards which I like, we need more of the stands to join in!!!
