'Free beer "not leaving pumps" before weekend' admits Danny

I have no idea what percentage but I find it strange that I’ve only ever had one instance of it being an issue, and that’s from someone who searches for reasons to slag off the paper. So I’d estimate pretty high.

I’ll have a look in a bit and let you know :)

Serious question Danny:

You take a lot of flack on the board on behalf of the star, what do you think makes everyone so critical?

The common issues (according to s24su) with the paper seem to be: poorly written, biased, misleading or 'click-bait'. Assuming you disagree, and these criticisms are unfair, why do you think so many people seemingly dislike the star?

Thanks for the invitation to take the stand in your kangaroo court :)

On the bias point, the most invalid of your criticisms above, I’ll ask a genuine question of my own; who’s more likely to be one-sided, a organisation representing the city, and therefore the two clubs in it, or fans of one side who are predisposed to love their club and subsequently hate/dislike the other?
I think you've taken an early 1-0 lead there...

I assume the persecution from other posters has left you paranoid, there was no pretence to my question, nor is there a 'kangaroo court'.

It was a genuine question.

The Stir, obvs!

BTW, it's 'an organisation' as I know you are so concerned with style, grammar and accuracy.

They're not my criticisms, I personally have no issue with the star. I did put, in brackets, that they were the complaints "according to s24su" what I should have maybe put, to clarify, was "according to some s24su posters"

I think that you're assuming I'm saying that the star is "poorly written, biased, misleading or 'click-bait'", when I'm not.

I get that. And as ever it’s the minority who shout the loudest :)

Point of order Danny, neither my OP or any of my subsequent posts mention bias.

Although if you look carefully at your article, you can find the words 'The Star says United are shit, we love our Owls and always have' in there.

Coincidence?

It’s not always about you mate.

What I'm getting at though, is why is that minority so loud?

I think you know better than anyone that the star gets incessantly critiqued on this board, and I genuinely have no clue why.

Can those who live or have lived in other divided cities help us out? It is in the nature of football fans in such cities to feel that everyone else is biased against them (as, of course, are all referees). Perhaps understandably magnified in our case because officialdom has taken some rum decisions about us. Or am I just biased?
