Check the threads in each section. If you can be arsed. Which you won't beNot even close mate.
Went down to the lane to get a ticket for Fallowfield Jnr's first game this week and it is £20 for a 3-year-old which is bonkers
Had to double-check the lad at the ticket office, and they have done away with a junior ticket an 18-year-old will pay the same as a 3-year-old
Great way to attract the next generation of blades it should be free IMO £5/10 max for all juniors

I'm with you now. I haven't read every single post so I've missed the posts you're on about, and yes, ideally such comments ought to be made elsewhere. However, when the forum was set up, it was intended to be a reflection of typical conversations that you might get in a pub and you know what happens in pub conversations. Start off on one topic and you often get distracted. You'll get used to it.I don’t need to check the threads to know that all the discussion about immigration, Southport and the other assorted bollocks doesn’t belong on General Blades Chat.
£6 for Balham II’s Pompey ticket. He’s 7. That feels about right. That is insane.
Should be free.
And pricesI'm intrigued that you think that the people in charge of ticketing policy and marketing at Bramall Lane have the capacity to think so strategically. On balance I think the evidence points to the reason for us selling 3 to 4,000 less tickets than we ought to be selling is utter incompetence or just bone idleness.
Or at least bring back kid for a quid even if that’s a add on to an existing season ticket holderWent down to the lane to get a ticket for Fallowfield Jnr's first game this week and it is £20 for a 3-year-old which is bonkers

I was including pricing as a function within 'ticketing policy and marketing.' I agree that ticket prices are far too high, particularly match day tickets, but I also believe we would have had 1-2,000 more season ticket sales if prices had been frozen or increased by less than inflation. I laughed on Saturday when they displayed the names of people for whom this was their first match. There were about five names on the board. They failed to tell you about the 2,000 who tried but failed get past the club's North Korean style bureaucracy and 'security checks.'And prices
But, but, but why?????I see Luton are looking to build a new 25k capacity Stadium.

Probably right in what you say!what surprised me on Saturday was the crowd I can usually tell when there are 30,000 in the ground judging it by the usually empty seats ! I got it wrong sat as I thought we had hit the 30,000 mark.Good points.
Re STs , I know they were available for existing members this summer but I don't recall them going to general sale.
So I think the club deliberately limit their sales.
Re match tickets , I think they are too expensive for most people.
The club might say it has to maximise revenue and ST holders don't want their "discount" eroding but my answer to those two points is :
1. We sold only 3k home match tickets v Derby. Dropping from c£40 to c£30 would lose £30k. But 1k extra tickets sold would recoup that £30k AND potentially get 1k more people interested in coming to some matches , especially how we are currently playing.
It is very disappointing to see the BLUT only half-full for such an attractive fixture. Also , I dunno why so many seats on there are described as RV (at the John St side) , imo they're not.
2. At c£30 for a match ticket , there is still a substantial saving for STs.
This is why I am sceptical about ground expansion - the club doesn't seem to be bothered about filling the Lane as it is. So where is the ROI to justify investment ?
Dropping match tickets to c£30 would really test the market - if we can't sell-out at c£30 , just forget expansion.
Some on here say "build it and they will come" , but there is no better view in football than from the BLUT , so if we can't fill it now , why do they expect us to get bigger gates from a bit more capacity ?
It’s the Sheffield psyche I’m afraid. Scared of change… Then complain that the cities you mention are all better places.Forest, Everton, Bristol City, Leeds, Palace, Fulham, 6 clubs not a million miles from the pool in which we swim in recent years (2 of them relatively local) all planning or close to completing major stadium improvements. As much as we love the Lane, status as a club is quite closely tied to the stadium in which it plays. We really need to bring Bramall Lane kicking and screaming into the 21st century and at the very least do something with that fucking disgrace of a kop, making use of the space underneath and behind it as well.
Have you been up there? Yes you get great views but the facilities up there are piss poor. Queuing for halftime refreshments is ridiculous you could get to the queue 10minutes before halftime & still not get served by the time the 2nd half starts & the reason for that is that they serve piss (beer) in paper cups from a can ( at extortionate prices), it really does show it's age up there (concourse & bogs) not to mention that the seats towards John St are covered in bird shit that's the reason why i'll never go back up there, but still ...... Great viewsGood points.

Yes, you can see that at both grounds. It’s the Sheffield psyche I’m afraid. Scared of change… Then complain that the cities you mention are all better places.
Same for season tickets as well. My 4 year old paying same price as 18 year olds, think it was £180.Went down to the lane to get a ticket for Fallowfield Jnr's first game this week and it is £20 for a 3-year-old which is bonkers

In reality, the ground is fit for purpose as a whole, it’s safe in modern terms. So, generally speaking it’s fine.Forest, Everton, Bristol City, Leeds, Palace, Fulham, 6 clubs not a million miles from the pool in which we swim in recent years (2 of them relatively local) all planning or close to completing major stadium improvements. As much as we love the Lane, status as a club is quite closely tied to the stadium in which it plays. No way, I pay about 60 to 70 quid for the south stand and my daughter is 12Same for season tickets as well. My 4 year old paying same price as 18 year olds, think it was £180.

you are correct apologies, that is expensive, I was thinking that my price was the standard, would make me think twice to be honest. It was a new season ticket rather than a renewal but yes £178 on John Street.![]()
Season Tickets - General Sale
Season Tickets are on General Sale from 9am on Monday 20th May.www.sufc.co.uk
100% agree with this although we don't have the "trendy Thames" to sell. Fulham have been very clever in building their hospitality stand around "The Fulham Pier"/Riverside Development (depends which stage you are looking at) which is a very good way of getting non match day income with cafes and restaurants using the stand space and hospitality areas and a small club for things like small stand-up comedy clubs etc and then they have the roof terrace with bar and even members club and swimming pool.Forest, Everton, Bristol City, Leeds, Palace, Fulham, 6 clubs not a million miles from the pool in which we swim in recent years (2 of them relatively local) all planning or close to completing major stadium improvements. Agreed I think it’s the “combo factor” for me as I am at an age where the kids or the wife “don’t find me cool” its often just me and a mate I don’t mind paying £30+ for a ticket but if I had to take the family and it’s over £100 just for the tickets it becomes a very expensive dayfantastic pricing for our season tickets but im afraid its exactly what ive been saying for ages on here far too high pricing for match day tickets thats why were not getting 30k plus crowds
If you think Fulham and Sheffield are similar places, and Everton is a model to follow, then I don't think you know much. That's not the Sheffield psyche speaking btw. It’s the Sheffield psyche I’m afraid. Scared of change… Then complain that the cities you mention are all better places.

The thing that will test it is getting rid of the stupid one ticket per person policy.Good points.
