Just seen on the Star, season ticket prices held for next year. Good to see us holding prices to try and sell as many as possible.

And more time to renew your current one if you haven't. (Hope this doesn't mean renewals aren't as good as expected!)

"Sheffield United today announced a price freeze for season tickets on general sale.
Blades fans can buy a new season ticket for the club's 2009/10 campaign from April 17, with most prices remaining the same or cheaper than in the current season.

New season ticket prices are £349 (adult) and £229 (concessions) for the Frazers ProADVERTISEMENTperty Kop, £449 (adults) and £259 (concessions) for the Valad Stand, £449 (adults) and £259 (concessions) for the Malta Family Enclosure, while for Under 16s its £129 and for Under U13s its £69.

"Once again our aim is to deliver affordable football and this is reflected by the fact we have held our prices, or in the case of seats on the Kop, made them cheaper," said Simon Argall, operations director at Sheffield United.

"The full prices highlight the fantastic savings available to current season ticket holders who are renewing their ticket," added Mr Argall.

The Blades have extended the deadline for season ticket renewals by an extra week to give supporters even more time to reclaim their seat.

"The extension will give those fans yet to renew the opportunity to do so and takes into account the busy home schedule of United and the Easter period."

A renewed adult season ticket for the Frasers Properties Kop, for example, is available at £279, an overall saving of £80 based on season ticket holders who bought at the non-discounted, full price this season.

Supporters who renew by April 16 also receive a free black replica shirt, designed to commemorate the club's 120th anniversary.

Meanwhile, supporters under 13 can still receive a free season ticket if they become a Junior Blades member for £10 and are accompanied to matches by a paying adult season ticket holder."

Last I heard, they were going pretty well.

Can't see any figures being announced for a while though :)

They'll wait until the end of the season/middle of the summer at least I should imagine.

I wonder if Lee Strafford is going to personally purchase 20k season tickets at the Sty just to say they've got more. From what I've heard about this odious creature this morning, I have to say I wouldn't put it past him.

Apparently, prices for the pigs will be released next week. Surely they can't afford to reduce them? Strafford's big plans rely on as many paying punters as possible.

EDIT:

Lolz... Pigs can only follow where we lead. Apparently their under 8s STs are going to be free in certain areas of the ground. And all the piggies think we'll be shitting ourselves because they're letting some little chavs in for free.

Come to the Lane... we let older chavs in and let them sit where they want!

EDIT 2:

We've sold 11000 apparently not including the free kids ones. The extension has been put in place to relieve some pressure on the ticket office because it's been mental.
