How we keep performing over the bracket we are in, Is amazing and all thanks to the values and structure that Wilder and Knill had distilled in the players and in us as supporters, how many times do we now go on these Message boards saying we will lose this one, Its going to be our banana skin, or this team always does one over us... Its a thing of the past and makes Wilders and Knills achievements even more impressive.

It could be teams will start to look at us and saying "Why are we paying X for a player, when they can pay Y and get a better return" hopefully most teams will keep blindly paying the stupid fees and transfers for players who are over hyped and well over the price they should be!

Correct and I’d wager a lot of money that the combined value in terms of what teams would pay is far in excess of 60 million quoted above.

I made a point on another post where I mentioned Enda Stevens as a point of example. Suddenly it’s not unrealistic to call him a 20 million player. That sounds inflated at first glance but he’s a first choice wing bank playing week in week out in the premier league to a really high standard and is also a regular for his country.

You relate that to a similar status of a player at Southampton, Burnley Bournemouth etc etc and without doubt that is the minimum price they’d be asking

Who knows? Probably a pointless debate as it’s all speculation. Take your point about any resale value but the way the Premier league is I’d say there’s plenty of clubs that would chuck that kind of money out for a top quality player if it was a position they thought they could upgrade, with little or no regard to any resale they might get. If that player performed consistently well for them for a couple of years then they’d consider it money well spent.

Hopefully none of our top players are going anywhere in a hurry

This looks like it's from Transfrmarkt. They'll still have Wednesday's squad as worth more than ours. The values are weighted on previous performance overvalued full career, wages and transfer fees. Nearly no weighting on future value

Agree......the factor to consider is that any young player that becomes a regular in the PL automatically becomes a £10 million player these days.
Also valuations these days don’t mean that much....as already said a players valuation can be artificially inflated based on the situation.
