Liverpool still have a backup centre back as 2 and a nonentity central midfielder as 3, with their first choice right back as 30, not sure 42 rather than 98 is much more normal.Brooks is in 11 and Cannon in 7 according to what's been seen in pre season.
I think Bindon is in 6 but I wouldn't be averse to Peck having it
On a complete side note for the OCD among us, Liverpool have tidied theirs up a bit and updated players like Bradley from 84 to 12 and Nyoni from 98 to 42 to be far more normal!
If you're not in the 1-11, numbers don't really matter much, maybe it'd make younger players feel like they were getting closer to the first team if they went from 30 something to 20 something but sticking with the same number makes then recognisable.
We almost always stick with whatever is on their training gear at the start of pre-season, last year One was given Hackford's 39 in preseason for some reason rather than 26 that he had the year before and never had it corrected, this year he's back to wearing 26, although that means Baptiste must have a different number.
The annoying changes are the lower down ones that move by a few for no real reason, Coulibally, then Caceres had 29 last season but he's 25 in preseason while Curtis has 29 back which he had the year before. Seriki started out as 40 and has progressed all the way to 38, Buyabu did the opposite and went from 38 to 40. Just sticking with what they've got and filling in any gaps makes more sense, unless someone is getting promoted to a first team number.
