Yep - if he thinks it's such a great place, he could send us a couple of strikers on loan

The quote made me go all gooey inside...

Watched Spurs v Arse earlier and WHL sounded booming.

Absolutely fucking rocking for an early kick off. It's thst Shoreham boys song we nicked I make no excuses it got the place jumping. Arsenal are a fucking joke set of supporters. No passion all bunny behind OB then get their annual slap before and after. Good luck to the blades lads.

out of interest what word do you replace "Shoreham" with?

Got to admit I was cheering on Spurs today and not just because I had a bet. Your staff as a whole were very respectful of us and not in any way patronizing in the way I felt Jose was when they lost to Bradford

He really seems to have got Spurs playing. They are very exciting to watch. Unless they are playing us at home

Whatever happens in the future singing that song will always make you think of The Blades.

Good win today

You sing Tottenham instead of Shoreham I know, but years ago, wasn't your Kop end the Park Lane Shelf or something like that? I'm talking back in the 60s, so well before your time i'm sure? ;)

I'd be interested to know, please.

I decided to bravely reprimand a group of Spurs fans last night , for nicking our song , they took it in good heart and did not kill me . I thought this is great just how fans should act , possibly the loudest getting the street cred in the future . However moving on to st Pancras station my hopes were gone , as a group of Palace fans and a group of Forest fans were brawling in the middle of women and kids , waiting on the East midlands Train concourse no coppers came for at least 5 minutes , {for anyone who is remotely interested , Palace left Forest with claret all over , after Forest started it }. .

Most Spurs fans I speak to know Sheffield United were singing it first. They all say what brilliant support you have. You deserve to be in the Premier League. Fingers cross your fortunes soon change.

How about putting Champions League qualification on hold for a season and loan us Kane for six months if you want to see us back in the prem?

I'm gonna take a wild stab in the dark here, but I just betcha it's 'Tottenham'

It could indeed be "Tottenham" in the same way "Sheffield" would fit in for us, but we use something very personal to Blades which is Shoreham.

My question was out of wanting to know if Spurs had used something personal or something really boring and normal like "Tottenham"

True. I was maybe being a little cutting and over sarcastic. Apologies

Your apologies are accepted young man and it was a genuine question.
As for sarcasm, I actually dislike it intensely and try my hardest to keep away from it, although I should be a bit more thick skinned really.
It's just my age !

Sorry for late reply yes only Tottenham in afraid. Considering about 1% of our support actually comes from there. Our songs used to be good now they are mostly crap. This one has def got the place rocking though lads.

Most of your fans moved up the A10 as far as I can tell. I grew up in Enfield and was at school with kids many of whose parents were from Tottenham. The same thing happened with West Ham fans drifting up the A13 to places like Romford. Both Upton Park and White Hart Lane seem to me, these days, to be surrounded by people who support Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City.

thats true mate. Most Spurs moved out to Essex/Herts. As I said before Spurs are really North and East London as are Arsenal. There's more Spurs and Goons in the real East end than there ever have been West Ham. You'll find Spurs all the way up to Cambridge and beyond nowadays. Anywhere between the A1 and over to deepest Essex / Suffolk. Most of the bids around Tottenham would be Gooners due to the high percentage of immigration and them all loving Arsenal due to success Ian Wright EFC. That is changing slowly as we get better. It really is like an away game sometimes when Spurs are at home. Locals other than the staunch Spurs look at us in bewilderment if we are outside pubs etc singing. You've more chance of finding a Galatasaray or Man Utd shirt on a weekday sadly.

It would probably make more sense for your lot to build a new ground by Junction 26 on the M25.

Couldn't agree more. I lived in Walthamstow Wood Street from the age of 10. It was all Tottenham. Chingford is still mainly Spurs as well. All the pubs were Spurs. The Cock Tavern Coach and Horses Raglan Dog and Duck Higham Hill tavern etc. they still all are as our coach picks up at them. We had 55 lads from the Stow/Chingford when we came up to you. It's just that with all their success the goons did have most of the younger kids. It is changing though. You still won't find them in the pubs when we play. I wish we'd build a new ground near Kings Head Hill where Chingford meets Enfield. All Spurs and a few boozers still.
