Spurs Game - In Holland or Belgium

All, long time lurker, taking the plunge, opening myself up to Grammatical scrutiny................

Regarding the game on Wednesday, I'm currently based in Antwerp and was wondering if any Blades in Holland or Belgium were meeting up to watch the game somewhere? Antwerp is pretty central and I can easily travel to Amsterdam or Brussels etc. I believe there's a few guys based in Den Haag, but cannot really track them down.

I have got a stool reserved in the 'Irish' bar in the ctr. of Antwerp, but ideally would like to watch the game with fellow Blades.

I posted on Exiled Blades FB page, but didn't get much of a sensible response. Just throwing it out there guys and girls.

I think the Den Haag Blades numbers have dwindled in the last couple of years, with at least three moving away. Hague Blade will tell you better than me (even though he's recently moved away), but i think O'Caseys will be the best bet. There was another smaller Irish pub which was really good, but its around 6-7 years since i was there last.

I think Richard is on Exiled Blades on FB and i think he still administers the Blades Bees Forum, he's on there as Hague Blade (different to the Hague blade on here)

[Hague Blade]

SwissBlade is right - there were four of us in The Hague at one point, and we'd watch games at O'Caseys on Nord Einde or in The Nelson at Scheveningen. The smaller Irish pub was the Shillelagh on Javastraat, but the landlord ran it into the ground, and the premises have been empty for five or six years, and it's half-derelict these days.

Ian & Geoff have moved back to South Yorkshire and I'm now in Singapore, so the numbers have dwindled - the CFO of Shell is a life long Blade as well, but we never had much luck in persuading him to join us. I'm still in regular contact with the old regulars, so happy to put you in touch. Rich has retired now, and he may well be up for meeting you in Amsterdam.
