Agree, but I will add that on Saturday, at least on the coverage I was watching, when Onē came on, and picked up the ball, there was a notable rise in the noise from the crowd, in stark contrast to the rumbling and grumbling that greeted Cannon when he misscontrolled or failed to make a yard for himself. Fans want young academy products to do well. I think our fan base, by and large are proud of, and want our own to do well for us.Young strikers tend to have to leave us in order to develop. And our fans are hardly patient with young players. There’s generally a clamour for them to be elevated to the first team if they stand out in the U21s followed very quickly by abuse if they then show the inconsistency and naivety of a very young player still learning their trade. I well remember not very bright people on here writing off Calvert-Lewin and Osula after a handful of games for us. I also see the current revisionism about Brooks and the absolute shite being spouted about Arblaster at the moment by some.
