Its a shame because I was the same, and looking at twitter for the 24 hours after it seemed most of us were. Its gone quiet on all signs of any signings currently... Hoping as we'll be back from Bochum tomorrow that things are moving, 2 weeks til the Birmingham game. Does annoy me that it takes us ages to get business done.

I know all about the SCR rules, and just because our turnover is £40m down due to parachute payments ending doesn't mean we're £40m in the red. Two completely different things. We posted an operating profit in our last set of accounts if you noticed, after our owners put money in. Our expenditure is currently way down on last season when you factor in the lack of incomings so far this window, and the amount of outgoings we've had, circa £3m a year saved with Davies, Ings and Mee released (thats on the conservative side of them being on £20k pw, likely to be more).
So yeah, i will say "just pay the money" on a fans messageboard because i can, the same way you likely shout the referee is a wanker. By your logic you mustn't say anything at all...
