The fee paying recruitment for so long has been an absolute disaster at this club, with this summers being the worst of the lot.

We are lucky we have had academy players coming through because without them (I include Ndiaye to get us back into the Prem in that) we would have no chance.

Travelling fans deserve so much better. The players and Wilder ought to refund every one of them for that insipid showing

I hate what this club has become. Don't think I’ve ever identified less with a group of United players as this lot, and having to tolerate Wilder as manager yet again just shows that there is zero clue or strategy from those in charge. Worrying times indeed.

Not the first time we’ve seen capitulation like this. Wherever the problems lie, someone/some people needs to get their act together soon. We’re going to lose players, parachute payments have gone and the Championship may not be as poor again.

It time to stop putting the blame at the feet of Selles though.

This is a classic case of Stockholm syndrome. Wilder kicks off, the Prince lets him leave and then kisses and makes up with him. The new owners do the same, Wilder fell short of the target, the owners try something different and it didn't work, What do they do, run straight back to Wilder.
Wilder is not the problem. The owners past and present are, they can't seem to move on from him.
Wilder has taken full advantage of being involved with boards who have little football knowledge and of his 'my club' lines, and he's played the fans using it too.

Love what he did in CW1 but he's incapable of adapting or getting this lot to try hard.

This is a relegation battle and it's on him too.

Better second half woeful first.

Need players back and good signings asap or else we are back in survival mode.

It’s how toothless we are that gets me. I had no confidence that we would score when we attacked tonight, whereas it always seems so easy for the opposition to create decent openings. And throughout the team, not a single one can make the right decision when heading a ball towards goal. It’s straight up in the air, or looper with no power into the goalie’s hands, and my least favorite, headed wide when the obvious thing would be to head it back across goal.

I dont think its just the owners that can't move on.

That assumes that the “strongest team” is available and not below par from having played a few days before.
You cannot expect players to be at their best if they play all the games.
The two sendings off have to be changed - Tanganga and Soumare.

McCallum had stitches in his foot so he's probably out for a bit. Bindon concussed.

4 changes is plenty. No option with those 4.

Why drop Seriki? Bamford? Brooks as well??? They were all fit, they came on.

Makes no sense at all.

Poor management.

What an utterly pedestrian performance that was! No tactics at all in the first half… apart from Cooper lumping it up to nobody.
And when we did create the odd opportunity in the 2nd half we were totally wasteful!
Let’s not kid ourselves either, this wasn’t Southampton just down from the PL, they are not playing at all well at present.
6pts totally thrown away from stupid players, a lack of tactics and a lack of endeavour!
How quickly the belief has drained out of us… Things need to turn around quickly if there’s any hope of getting some sort of spirit back into this team! ⚔️

True to the core S T . Wilder and the despicable Danny Hall continually refer to Ruben Selles and his signings trying to disguise the reality of what is really going on.

McGuiness was ok tonight, so was Mee and Peck.
Rest were shite
My main worry tonight was our centre back pairing. To be fair they both were okay. Chong, Hoever, Burrows were awful. Hamer should be moved on Ings looks finished. I don't think we'll be relegated but that looked like a relegation team out there.

Is anybody else getting Bryan Robson vibes watching this team? Slow, ponderous build up playwith no clue what to do when and if we get to the final third. Overpaid shit in the side, a Manager well past his sell by date. Uncanny.

Not at all. It’s a manager trying to manage a 3 game week with horrendous injuries and suspensions. First 35 mins at Charlton was probably best we have played all season - how short are people’s memories?
