Early team news from the BBC :)

Southampton v Sheff Utd
Southampton's on-loan defender Chris Lucketti has chosen to sit out Sunday's relegation showdown at St Mary's.

The 36-year-old centre-half has impressed since joining Saints from Sheffield United but did not want to face his parent club.

Play-off chasing Sheffield United look set to be without former Saints striker James Beattie, winger Lee Martin and defender Ugo Ehiogu.

Beattie and Ehiogu have calf injuries, while Martin has ligament damage.

That win means the Blades still have a slim hope of reaching the play-offs.

Manager Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I think all three are definitely out for next week."

Blackwell was happy with the way his reshuffled side came back against the Robins.

"You're talking about a side that have been in the top two and we gave them a goal start and we still come back and that's with massive changes."

well were stood in wethers. I'll try and upload a pic shortly.

urgh... what a day!!! What a journey!! Just got home.

Will upload some pics later

If Southampton had played all season like they did yesterday, then they wouldn't have been in a relegation battle. And what did their fans really have to celebrate? Being the fifth shittest side in a fairly poor division? Well done. As the Blades sang to them, "You're not fit to wear the stripes."
As for the referee, having to be told to give a yellow card to Stern John for removing his shirt after scoring summed it all up. He was piss-poor in the extreme.

they wanted it more and they got it.

ref was absolute awful. he gave them everything.

yeah, but I really doubt that we deserved all three points. I reckon a point each would have been a fair result!! if we played like we had against bristol city then we could have got all three...
have to hand it to the saints fans for creating some decent atmosphere there though, especially their north stand...

If he'd have actually looked in the direction of the celebrating players at any one point during the celebrations, and Stern John walking back still with his shirt off, he may have noticed it.

Stephen Quinn made sure the ref knew he'd had his shirt off - he's been hit by it so he was making sure John did too lol!

Well what a day and ... night :P

Probably the longest day and night too. But regardless of the result what a great day out. Excellent to see so many costumes on show, some of them were mint.

The game wasn't the best but they deserved it. We knew they were going to come at us and at times defended pretty well. Still be reet and onwards and upwards for next season.

The best team won, it was as simple as that.

Good day out though, and the Southampton fans we came across were rather nice people too.

All the Saints fans I talked to were as good as gold. It was a damn good day out, and fortunately I was spared the task of having to kick the living shit out of any naked idiots, who obviously decided that knocking on my hotel room door with a grin and no clothes would have earned them a kick in the swingers.

And thats being kind!
Welcome London! Where abouts you from in London?

I'm living in north london at the moment, near highgate... i'm looking for other blades fans in london because i'm sick of travelling to away days on my own!!! :cry2:
