Welcome Positive Nigel
200 lads hanging round the town centre flew under the police radar?

To me, if you want to do a job that involves controlling people, ordering them about and generally acting like an arsehole to the general public, coppers have got pyschological issues stemming from childhood. Perhaps their fathers beat them, and their mothers deprived them of attention. Who knows?
If you have several hundred people who want to go mental then how many police do you need to combat this? They should have just charged them with horses and beat them with batons. Would this have been OK for you? Millwall should not be allowed to have any away tickets for any game. The vast majority of their fans are utter scum.
Hang on a minute. This is UK not Egypt. Can the police stop a few lads travelling on a train and having a few beers in town during an afternoon? Can you get moved on for potentially likely to cause trouble. Of course they did and it was obvious they would but short of drafting in a thousand policemen I can't see what they could have done about that lot? Plenty of mistakes after the game but they have to apply the laws hopefully.
West Ham fans who went to the semi v Birmingham the other night were very forcibly removed from pubs by the police at around 6 o'clock and forced to the ground (in an escort that took 2 hours meaning they missed kick-off).
The feds have got plenty of form for moving people on without any great reason. Sure it's not legal, and they've lost at least one legal case for doing it, but it's definitely one of the tools they use with football fans.
SYPD are obviously more interested in arresting Blades than away fans - why else was it a line of coppers in front of the South Stand and stewards in front of the Millwall end?
Amazing how our stewards who are so keen to throw anyone out of the away end for the slightest misdemeanour against the likes of Norwich weren't nearly as interested in getting stuck in on Saturday. Most of the pitch invaders made it safely back to the away end.
Leeds will be interesting. How many tickets will they get, will kick off remain at 3pm, will they be locked in after and will the stewards allow them to run on the pitch willy nilly?

Ive got a good idea. Why don't you go up to a copper and tell him to his face that he's a coward or a cnut, I'm sure it will be well received and he would discuss it with you.

Are you completely fucking retarded?
typical of our stewards.. like putting themselves about to the likes of ipswich and reading but don't fancy it if it is millwall or coventry
Please elaborate
To paraphrase yourself:
"To be a copper you must have psychological issues stemming from childhood."
How is that not a completely retarded statement?
Rather than this ridicilious rash statement and juvenile comments, how about someone summs up what actually happened for us who weren't there.
Axel, you are putting a lot of effort in to slagging the coppers off. Can you give us a version of events. As much as I despise violcence in football and detest hooliganism I am interested in what happened. Can anyone tell me events from start to finish, whatever they saw, heirsay etc. Maybe I should look on Blades Mad .....
And to add, you will probably see more police tomorrow night against Reading than you did on Saturday, When the police knew Millwall were bringing numbers. Everyone knew it was going to go off before the game so why were the police not prepared?
They would need to seek a football banning order from the courts. They only way they can get one of those is for the suspect to be convicted of an offence either on the way to, during, or travelling back from a football game.
Please elaborate
Banning millwall fans from all away grounds or just the lane?
On what grounds anyway, bar a few scuffles? It would take violence an an unprecedented level for an away team to be permanently banned.
