Sheffield United defender David Sommeil is training with Valenciennes, with a view to returning to French football.
Sommeil has been told he is free to leave Bramall Lane by new Blades manager Bryan Robson after just one season with the club.
He made seven appearances last term after joining on a free transfer from Manchester City and has now linked up with Valenciennes.
The former Bordeaux stopper is on trial this week and Valenciennes coach Antoine Kombouare is hoping the 32-year-old can prove his fitness.
"I appreciate both the player and the man," Kombouare told the French media.
"I just want to know how fit he is, because he only played seven matches last term, even if he played other matches with the reserves.
"Accepting a trial with us is a proof of humility."
Seems like he is offski.
