personally i think all this is a load of rubbish! warnock and his former players and ken bates should be suing sheff utd they have had their comp from west ham so it now lies with them! the fact warnock was and still is a bad manager of coarse had nothing to do with the fact sheff utd went down, and the fact that you signed championship players when in the prem also contributes to the fact that yes west ham illegally signed tevez and mascherano but these players did not send sheff utd down you did a great job in sending yourselves down, worst prem away record..your fate was in your own hands on the last day of the season all you had to do was draw to wigan...how ironic that it was unsworth a player you let go that christmas that sent you down! i personally hope that you win promotion this season (cant see it happening though) just to see you go back down with no one else to blame and for west ham to do home and away! thanks for listening youve all been great and i enjoy reading this site farewell xxx:thumbup:

However, why should a club who abides by the rules be left in a worse position than one who didn't?
And do you really think that if we hadn't have suffered, another club wouldn't have taken the same stance and gone in the same direction?

i care because i have strong links with west ham and am fed up with the clubs good name being dragged though the mud i feel for your fans but your club is not doin itself any favours! i have been readin this site for a while and felt i had to say something which you have heard over and over like you said but do you not think that west ham wer punished for their crime..so what else could they do... its scudamore who should be getting the bad press not west ham

They were "punished" for the initial crime.
What about the subsequent one?
Both West Ham and Scudamore invited bad press with their handling and involvement in the situation.

tevez didnt keep west ham up though so its hardly cheating they didnt gain anything from him playing what about the defence and rob green who were all solid in the final 9 games they havnt been mentioned? zamora scoring at arsenal noble having a blindin season? the PL allowed tevez to play those final games why after having the £5million fine would west ham do the same illegally again...they wouldnt and they didnt, nothing has been proven to say otherwise or they would have been fined or deducted points again? before those last 9 games the tevez factor was a negative one he didnt help the team, but caused unrest amoungst the players where subsquently pardew lost his job? dont see him doing a warnock and spitting his dummy out and trying to sue west ham? just get over it and move on..do you not think that this is damaging your club more now than it is west ham? they are moving in the right direction you however...well it remains to be seen? shows great ambition when u sell you leading striker?

Didn't read the rest of your post... but how do you define cheating?
See, for me, cheating means deliberately breaking the rules to gain an advantage.
West Ham deliberately broke the rules in order to keep playing Tevez, ergo, they must have felt there was some advantage.
So whether they cheated, hardly cheated, or cheated just an iddy little tiny weeny bit... they cheated. End of story.
Nowt you're whinging on about can change it. Have a read at what some of the West Ham fans on here are saying, they're taking it with more grace than you are.
And I think you'll find we have got over it and moved on. An estimated £25million has soothed the blow somewhat.
I rather feel you are the one who should, perhaps, move on

i am fine with it all west ham are a fine team going places under zola and once they have a new owner everything will be even rosier because like it or not you would trade that 25mil to be in the prem and what exactly is 5mil a year over 5 years going to bring you honestly? especially in the fizzy pop good luck blunts!

Like I said when all this went off, if you play an ineligible player in the Cup, you get demoted, so why didn't this count here? It should have been demotion or a points deduction but the FA (who I think has Trevor Brooking in it, funnily enough) bottled it and wouldn't send their beloved West Ham United down.

With the greatest respect if anyone dragged football into the gutter it was West Ham when they cheated by firstly playing Tevez illegally then secondly knowingly and deliberately playing him illegally again in defiance of the FA and the rules.
If you had abided by the FA's ruling after the 1st incident, none of this would have happened. The second incident was nothing less than a two fingered salute to the FA.

Sheffield United claimed for their losses as club, not for the losses of their manager or then players.
The issue of losses of the managers / players is a seperate issue that hasn't been compensated and lies between then and West Ham as does the issue of whether or not they have any genuine claim. Personally I could care less if they get compensated or not. All I'm concerned with as an SU supporter is the position of the club.

Club 'A' pays out rumoured amount of £15-25 million.
Club 'B' receives said amount of £15-25 million.
I'd say that is the opposite of damaging us.
