Some positives

Don’t agree.

We look abject. I’ve seen a lot of ‘what if’s’ from our fans for every game we’ve played this season but we really look poor.

We deserved nothing from that game. A mid-table team didn’t have to get out of 2nd gear against us.
We've not deserved anything from any game this season because we've simply been fucking shocking and completely devoid of any tactical abilities!

We have Wilder.
We are in a much better position than 4 years ago.
The margin of defeats has been generally small.
If results continue to be like this, we can concentrate on a Cup run.
With vaccines imminent, we could be back at the Lane this season.
I haven’t paid to watch United this season.
If you never get relegated, you never win promotion.
I would much rather have a vaccine that means we can go to the Lane and watch Championship football than watch us on TV in the Premier League in empty stadia.

We’ve got some young, talented players who will improve and develop - Ramsdale, Brewster, McBurnie, Bogle, Lowe, RND. And we’ve got some experience pros in JOC, Baldock, Egan, Norwood and Fleck. If we go down, we go down with the ability to bounce straight back up. The players will be better for the experience.

Ollie McSpurnie

Can't carry on spurning 32 carrot gold chances

The number of times we had 4 or 5 waiting for a ball coming down and the one West ham player came away with it
Norwood was very wasteful

Their goal came from a kind bounce from a tackle falling just right.

We are getting better chances and just not applying a finish

Frustration is the key word just now
Could have had 3 in first 10 minutes
But again a wasteful day up front

Can’t say I’ve watched that much of us recently, been busy and the timings of games (late Saturday or Sunday games) just doesn’t work for me. Anyway, that’s a different gripe.

Watched the game today though and thought whilst we started with energy, we allowed West Ham to dictate the pace of play. Nothing too unfamiliar with that, but there didn't seem to be the same level of organisation and "front foot" approach when we didn't have the ball.

West Ham pressed us, fair enough, but i didn't think we retained the ball well enough when we got it.

Big issue was the long ball, in the past we've mixed short passes with direct passes and its unleashed the wing backs as well as the Overlapping Centre Halves which we've become famous for. That appears to have gone, both because it has been closed down on the right and we can't do it the same on the left.

Their goal was the result of an aimless long punt. McG and McB were on the other side, but Rammers put it straight into our left of centre and it came straight back. Rammers (and Hendo last season) seem to be under instruction to launch the ball early to counter. It doesn't seem to be very effective at all.

The chances we created today came from good interplay, opening West Ham up and getting in behind. We have a midfield (and Wing Backs) that can play football and would give West Ham a real game if we'd played through the middle. The balance isn't there.

Todays game was one of the most frustrating games i've seen under Wilder, the game was crying out for the ball to stay on the deck and yet we punted too much because McB wins headers... We need to get back to what made us successful - energy, intensity and playing the ball incisively over 5 yards or 40 yards.

Anyway, won't get to watch next weeks game properly as i'll probably be pissed

We could have been 2/3 goals up in the first half, McBurnie hit the crossbar in the second which should have gone in. West Ham scored 1. Do the hypothetical maths. :)
West ham also missed a sitter in first half soucek shooting wide from 5 yards unmarked, rice hit bar 2nd half, Haller shot wide when should have buried it just after he scored

True West Ham should have could have won but we should have could have won also. Difference is between this and previous games is we actually had shots. Not just shots on target. :)

No one will ever doubt how important us fans are to the club ever again!

On what basis is it a banker? We were fortunate to get a point against Fulham.

I’d love to be in a last man standing with you.
Don't forget if we DON'T win V WBA tonight - you get £20 off me for your fav Xmas Charity .... I am feeling lucky
