It said it all after the second goal against Oldham for me.
Sharp scored the rebound, Clarke was the closest red and white shirt to him, and Billy ran past him to celebrate with another player, cant recall who, had sampled a couple of festive Cheers by then!, but anyway, I believe if Clarke would've been any other player, Sharp would've jumped straight on him.
I think there was something said in that bust up they had at the lane when Clarke was at Bury, and I dont think Billy can or wants to forget it!?
I might be miles off the mark but, I really believe that Sharp really doesn't like him, and I also think that that's something they need to do to play together.
I don't see it happening anytime soon, so for me Clarke is only any use as an impact player from the bench.
What we need this next month is a Done/Clarke mash up, theres a chap at Chesterfield that fits that mould, but, do I think we will sign him.......no, would everyone be happy if we did...........NO.
I trust Wilders judgement, I just hope this time it's a little bit better than an ageing Clarke on a 3!! year deal.

Well Clarke created a half chance for Sharp in the first minute, and bugger all has been created since of any note. We look painfully slower, there's little movement, and Northampton have created some problems through their defence being able to head upfield unopposed.

Lavery won more headers than the 'big' Leon today. I don't think it's as simple as he is lazy, it's just that he has no interest, drive or enthusiasm for the game, his career is over and if Wilder decides to pay him up, then he may just get one more contract at another club, win win. Watching his performances from the warm up to him going off, I honestly believe that is what he's playing for.

Really dont understand the constant accusation that Clarke is lazy. Whenever I have watched him play with Sharp, its Sharp who is the lazy one. He gets away with it because he can do nothing for 70 minutes then score. Thats fine by me, but I dont understand why Clarke gets hammered for it.
