Oh you're entitled to your opinion and I respect that, indeed I narrowly hold that opinion myself because he knows the football club and has a good track record in the championship.

However he deserves a major telling off from the powers that be in his performance management review.
You say you narrowly hold that opinion but keep going on about Allardyce on numerous threads plus those you start yourself, including one halfway through the match yesterday.

I'm curly-tailed, but I always post fairly. A lot of what got the club into the PL, and what gave the club such a great season last time, was team spirit. That, and the great management skills of Wilder. But there was always going to be a problem, because the playing staff had to be improved, yet togetherness had also to be maintained. I think a club can retain team spirit if the players coming in are obviously much better than those which are already there; the old guard then accept that the newcomers are on higher wages, and in any case it's to their advantage also that better players have joined the club. What players don't accept is that newcomers who're no better than them earn more, and that probably explains the drop in the team's verve. It's unlikely that anyone else could get more out of this squad of players than Wilder, and to make a change now would like as not make no difference. But there's always tomorrow in sport, and United don't want to waste the legacy of its promotion. We've no way of knowing what will happen between now and the end of the season, so it's best IMO to hang fire. If a change is made now, and things don't improve and the club goes down, then the incumbent would be damaged goods in the Championship, as Wilder will be if he's still at the club. The best course of action would be make a change at the end of this season so a line can be drawn under it.
Not a bad post for a pig. I still wouldn't let him go at the end of the season though.

We have a lot of fans who are seemingly able to forget about the latter part of last season where we turned rubbish, hopefully the players and manager can do the same at the start of next season!

In the end, I guess it's what's in the best interests of the club and what gives it the best chance of promotion should the worst happen. Like you say, if the interpersonal relationships are not beyond repair then Wilder should stay on. Team spirit is such an important part of what Wilder is about that it matters so much. But I can't see any value in changing things now, and I think it would be change for change's sake. One thing that is absolutely certain is that the scouting network abroad needs to be beefed up, whatever happens. Survival in the PL depends upon it.

Nope mate, that's where we went wrong last time, by sacking Warnock, love him or hate him and its 50/50 at united, he wouldn't have took us to league one, everybody can accept that. For me we searched years for the right man, wilder is the right man, you're right about the money thing though, I think thats a massive issue.. Like at Wendy where the players aren't being paid fully, or any wages some months..

If Wilder stays, we go down. Period. We've then got to service a loan on the stadium with vastly reduced income. The idea that we'll definitely come straight back up is very optimistic. We should be doing everything to stay up. Not dwelling on past glories. It's patently obvious the players are no longer playing for Wilder. He's needs to go today, get Big Sam in, organise the team and start challenging again. With Brewster, Mousset and others revitalised, we can still do this. Leave it another month and its too late.

In the 30 years that l have been a supporter we have had 23 managers (not including caretakers) that's a new manager every 15 months. Of the 23 l would say that Furphy, Bassett, Warnock and Wilder have been successful that is a impressive 17% success rate. This means that we probably have to employ 6 managers before we have another successful manager. With the odds so stacked against us why do we want to cut our nose off to spite our face? I think the people who are deluded are the ones who think a new manager is going to turn up with a magic wand! For this reason i believe whatever happens this season we should give Wilder till November 2021

30 years? Furphy? What year do you think we’re in now?

Wilder’s head has gone, but Allardyce? Jesus wept.

Oh yeah, let's have the brown paper bag mercenary to save us from relegation. Then what? I am astounded by the short termism thinking and you accuse others of delusion.
Is it Sheffield United you care about and its long term future? Or your ego that takes a pasting from a few wendies who seem more concerned with us, than what that other dinosaur Pulis is doing over there.
What makes you think a man who was handed arguably the most prestigious job in England and fucked himself over because his foolish beliefs led him to thinking he could trouser a shedload of crispy notes and no one would be any the wiser.

He was ejected from Bolton cos he couldn't keep his knob in his trousers.Says alot for me.

Seriously ,you would rather have a morally devoid egotist than a man of integrity, currently learning his trade in the big league, who has the long term interests of this club at heart.
Oh we can all see he is struggling. Don't we all get lost in life, our jobs and need time, patience and support from those closest to us to help us through it.
If you were in his shoes, would you hope for that? Or not give a fuck that he's the best thing we've seen for decades and ditch him at the first signs of struggle.Don't you think he has earned better support than that?

So don't be levelling accusations of delusion toward decent hard working people who are flawed and vulnerable, but deserve some respect for how far this club has travelled in a relatively short time.

And IF, we have to take a step back to the Championship, then so be it. Let it be part of the learning curve that many a club must endure to become more stable and competitive one in the long term.

Are you really a commited supporter?

If you feel so passionate,go knock on the Prince's door and explain to him why you think Chris should go and be replaced by captain no morals. I imagine he would laugh you out of the ground.

Thank fuck he's a better judge of character than you appear to be. Fuckin hell mate. Delusional be fucked.Have a word.UTB.

Oh and it's not patently obvious players are no longer playing for Wilder. Where's your evidence Chris? And I don't mean your subjective opinion of what you see game by game.

I agree that he was underperforming, but the way Wilder layed into Berge for that miss yesterday summed us up. It was a half chance at best especially for a midfielder of his ilk.

We can't rely on that being our 'big moment' in a match and all we create
Laid into him? Have you got the link please I must have missed that.

Yes he's being a very naughty boy. When we get back into the ground we can all vent our spleen at him. That'll give him a jolly good shake up.
I am being a tad flippant but in all fairness,Chris Wilder is his own biggest critic.😉

We were all laughing when Wednesday appointed football dinosaur Tony Pulis as their manager. Allardyce is brother chip. However, I will concede that he has a 100% success rate as England manager😀
Bit harder to be laughing at the Truffle Snufflers now though.

One thing I know for sure. No other manager, at any club in the EFL, survives that performance on the back of this run of form. Rightly or wrongly.
You don't really know that for sure storm. And as individuals we don't have to follow others like sheep. We can do what we think is best for Sheffield United. I think the Prince has just proven that by his long termism.😊

“Big Sam” would be an appalling choice of manager for our Club. I don’t know why there is the fascination with him. We are Sheffield United and should expect better.

We don’t have a barrel of money though and to be successful, we need cash. And cash we won’t have outside of the PL. Allardyce is not the answer, Wilder may well be despite our position. I don’t know what the answer is, but in the absence of such we need to stick with the promotion winning manager we have.

We aint got Woodward or Currie either sadly😊.I take a philosophical view and think there's alot to be learned and enjoyed watching something you care about develop with time and patience. Despite that getting tested again yesterday. Life is a journey for me and football is only a part of it,albeit a big part. Never all consuming though and I think it unhealthy to carry burdens.Especially ones we have no control over.
Mind you I do hope if and when we get back to the Lane, some of the vitriol on here doesn't get thrown at Wilder and the lads. They need us now more than ever.UTB

You're deluded if you think another manager will get this side out of this situation.

You're also deluded if you think that spending even more money will improve the club's financial situation

Pigs are pretty stupid though

They think they're clever posing as Blades thinking nobody can tell who they are, but you can spot a pig a mile off by the way they talk and their mannerisms

If the team's crap sack the manager

If the team's crap spend more money

Their two answers to every single problem which is why they've no longer got a stadium or a pot to piss in

Our owner says Wilder is staying this year and next I’m afraid you’ve just got to suck it up.

Oddly enough my reply was equally applicable to S6
