If Wilder stays, we go down. Period. We've then got to service a loan on the stadium with vastly reduced income. The idea that we'll definitely come straight back up is very optimistic. We should be doing everything to stay up. Not dwelling on past glories. It's patently obvious the players are no longer playing for Wilder. He's needs to go today, get Big Sam in, organise the team and start challenging again. With Brewster, Mousset and others revitalised, we can still do this. Leave it another month and its too late.

Stop seeking attention.

It doesn't really matter what any of us think, one way or the other, because we don't make the decision regarding who manages the team, the Prince does.

You're deluded if you think that Sam Allardyce is the answer to anyone's footballing crisis. Period.

He’s not done bad in his previous jobs. I reckon we would have more points on the board if he was currently our manager, we would be competing in games and we wouldn’t be the laughing stock of English football.

The answer to all our problems BIG SAM ALLARDYCE. He has not been relevant since 2005. He is awful and we do not have his style of players. Big up at you types. His rescue package alone would bankrupt us.

What's our style of play at the moment?

Hoof the ball at McBurnie.

Sam saved Sunderland from relegation after 2005, why not with us?

I simply don't see what difference "Big Sam" will make. Frankly I'm struggling to think of a manager who will make much of a difference.

As far as I am aware, Allardyce is one of those managers who would need a sizeable budget, as far as I know the pot is pretty empty. We would basically need a Warnock (type rather than old Botox himself) to somehow extract performances from players who for whatever reason, seem to have lost their mojo.

I've been trying not to get too involved as I really could do without a slanging match. But for me, and with the great benefit of hindsight, here are (some) of the problems.

Ramsdale was never going to have a Henderson effect, they are different characters, different temperaments. It looks to me like Ramsdale is buckling a bit under the pressure I'm afraid to say.

JOC was never adequately replaced, he is a big part of how we set up at the back, and because of this I'm really not sure how much better we would have been with Henderson in goal as I feel Deano would have been considerably more exposed than last season.

Basically, I dunno, it all looks like that tangle of wires you get behind the telly, you don't know where to start.

All I know is that the club I love is becoming a laughing stock, nothing boils my piss more than a gloating pig. This was our chance to have "mind the gap" for a generation, and it feels like that is slipping away.

It's a clusterfuck

To be fair Big Sam does not have a bad record and many were saying similar things about David Moyes after his time at Man Utd and Real Sociedad, and so far he is getting West Ham punching above their weight.

However, the 'not playing for Wilder' accusation seems to change game by game so not sure how true that is.

Yeah I get that but apart from McBurnie, who is do we have that would be able to play effective hoofball? We dont. We dont have a big physical presence in the centre of midfield - Berge is too lightweight. Sam would expect blood and thunder football. Not sure that is this squads style.

We are set up to supposively create overloads in wide areas and deliver quick crosses into the box for our attackers and on rushing midfielders to latch onto. Currently we are not doing this. And dont appear to have a plan B. Apart from hoof it to McBurnie hope he wins the header and it lands at either a midfielder or attackers feet.

Don't get me wrong, this is a really difficult situation and the idea that he would be magically be able to turn it around is for the fairies.

However the idea that Allardyce plays hoofball always is a myth, at Bolton and Sunderland they played some decent stuff.

If appointed what he would do is get them well drilled in training at the back and find the best way of playing for results with the players we have. I don't particularly like the guy but it's a fair guess to assume we'd do better in the PL with him in charge. He has much more experience in the PL than Wilder.

I'm definitely not deluded and have been saying we're shite for months and that we'll be relegated this season, but getting rid of Wilder is not the solution.
The team needs rebuilding, which will provide lead to more than one season back in the Championship, but he needs to have a clear out and bring in some new blood.
Unfortunately giving certain players new 2 year contracts will prove a costly mistake!

To be honest, I've just given up on this season now. Fuck all the arguments about Wilder and should he say or should he go, fuck all the pig name calling bollocks.

Just wake me up when next season starts please.

Don't you get it, if you criticize Wilder and/or the team/club you need to remember Walsall, you aren't a proper 'supporter' and you should **** off and go to Hillsborough

I gave up weeks ago (on not getting relegated) but yesterday was the first time I stopped watching at half time and I doubt I'll watch another game this season now!
I mean, what's the point when you know how shite it's going to be?

I actually bought a £30 Now TV pass last month as a flurry of our fixtures were going to be on SKY.

Almost glad the Thursday game isn't being featured
