I've been speaking to someone close to a few people at the club and he has quite a bit of information regarding some of the incomings and outgoings, here's what he's shared.

John Brayford - Won't be joining SUFC as he's held talks with Cardiff who are free to let him go on a permanent, Norwich are willing to pay the £850,000 asking price, SUFC are only willing to pay 500k.

Luke Ayling - Luke has been targetted as a player who could replace Brayford, talks have been on going with Lukes agent and as he's out of contract at Yeovil he could well become an SUFC player, for free.

Kevin Stewart - Been offered a 2 year youth contract and will be put in the development squad for the first season, with the hope of him breaking into the first team towards the end/into the 2nd season.

Billy Sharp - NO talks have occurred at all regarding a move, and its unlikely that any move will develop.

Ben Davies - Been offered a 1 year deal, heavily built on Clauses, Clough given him until 15th May to decide if he wants to join.

Luke Freeman - No talks about a permanent move are due to be held as of Friday.

Bob Harris - In talks regarding a new contract but has received interest from 2 unknown clubs, could be a struggle to keep.

Lyle Taylor - Been told he's free to find a new club, be it a Loan or Permanent transfer, doesn't feature in Cloughs plans.

Mark McNulty - Clubs negotiating, Mark is keen to join and get it sorted ASAP, aside from that Livingston are also interested in Callum McFadzean who will not be offered a new contract as SUFC.
 

Its quite hard to believe that we refuse to pay an extra £350,000 to acquire John's services. If that's true then its disappointing in my opinion. Don't understand the news on Luke Freeman.

Big problem with Brayford is wages. He is on silly money at Cardiff and they continued to pay most of it whilst he was with us on loan. Still be disappointing to miss out on him though.
 
Maybe it's the cynic in me, or perhaps I don't get how people who are in possession of confidential information seem more than willing to share this outside of Clough's inner circle. If the above has any truth is Clough aware of how freely available this information has slipped through his net?

Reading the line about Luke Freeman, does this mean that there are no talks, or that talks are due to happen this week? A bit more clarity please, assuming this rumour is correct.

Also, don't understand the wording regarding Brayford. What does "...Cardiff who are free to let him go on a permanent." Should this read willing? But if this has substance then I can see that wages would be the stumbling block, which strongly suggests that Norwich would be investing heavily to make a swift return to the Premiership.

Haven't we been here before with people that you say are close to the club and, after causing a shit storm, it turns out that little of it is true?

I love it. The club are prepared to leak all it's summer plans through someone who's outlet for this info is this venerable fans website.

Some of this May well come to be, but I will adopt the policy of viewing such posts as pure works of fantasy from someone being mendacious.

Well in theory, he's going nowhere anyway because Clough has taken up the 1 year option on his contract. The contract talks are to extend his contract beyond the next 12 months
 
o_OThas gotta have made that up JL9.. As if Clough wouldnt chuck an extra 300k to get undoubtedly the player of the season tied down on a full time deal :rolleyes: who's tha been goss'in too? Captain blade?!:tumbleweed:
 
I have a few people that give me some rumours, most i take with a pinch of salt, the only ones i don't are the ones from a certain someone. Its definatly Luke Freeman, not Kieran. Luke was offered to SUFC last week (and possibly other League One outfits.

Theres no word on Keiran Freeman. Also about the Jose Baxter one, i do know his girlfriends brother, and he genuinley did say he didn't want to move away from Liverpool, thats probably why he still lives down their. Not only that but sometimes, just sometimes money talks in football :)

300k plus the £25,000 that Brayford is on a week thats roughly 1.3million for a one year contract, without the 850k fee on top. So your 300k has just quadroupled plus a little bit extra in size in one year. Brilliant....

And sometimes, just sometimes, imaginations run wild and posts like yours appear. Houso identified a number of your predictions as nothing more than the rabid attention seeking of someone who seeks to impress with their In The Know connections.

Whoever is meant to have told you these gems obviously can't be trusted. You've not thought any of this through have you? Is it that you're trying to impress? That by throwing enough crap at this forum you hope that some of it will stick?

With regards Baxter, geography aside, you did say he had no intention of signing for the Blades. Spectacularly wrong on that count alone. So what is it you really do? Do you scroll various sites gathering information to then pass off as insider knowledge? Do you hope no one else will notice this contrivance? Have you ever heard of Walter Mitty?

And one final niggle, regarding your comment about Freeman, what was this meant to mean? 'No talks about a permanent move are due to be held as of Friday' ??? That's almost worthy of Joe Orton or Hilda Baker!

The harder you've tried the more you've wound yourself up it seems. Just stick to the usual round of posts mate, prediction, as with reality, isn't your strong point.....mind you, you could always consider a career as a fantasy writer.

So, having been outed as a purveyor of complete nonsense, you're now defending one ITK offering which you got spectacularly wrong on the basis that everything you said was true apart from the fact that he wouldn't be signing, so you got everything right apart from the important bit.

Probably best to stop digging.....
 
I love all the hear say and rumours that go onto the rumour page, everybody seems to know somebody at the training ground or one of the staffs family.

I personally don't know anyone, if I did I wouldn't expect them to release any inside information to me which could potentially put their jobs at risk. Why if Clough was interested in lets say Billy Sharp would he turn around to the tea lady and say 'you'll never guess what.. we've just put a bid in for Billy Sharp'. Some of the names put forward Freeman and Ayling are names I have heard on the terraces but not by Clough, they are exciting names all the same and would make us a better team should the join.
 

The Bob Harris one is the giveaway ,he already has a year in place.
