I have been away from any contact with the football world for the last 10 days, have come back and tried to read as many threads as possible but would appreciate some clarification on a few points

Has the financial situation suddenly got worse?
Are Cresswell and Monty's financial reasons based on appearance money?
Any bids for anyone?
Where is Porter?
How are the team playing?
Is Howard any good?
Did Williamson really sign for Pompey and say he thought they may get promotion? (I thought they had a 10 point deduction)

4) Skegness... or Chubby's... no idea really
5) A little half-heartedly and wasteful in front of goal
6) Not been bad so far, let down by defensive errors. No sign of "flapping" which was a concern to some pre-season
7) His words were "ambitious club". Everyone laughed.

How do you know the financial situation has not got any worse?

How can you make these unsubstantiated comments. I demand to see evidence of this.

If you don't write to McCabe or Winter I will go on about it for ever and ever and ever and think how clever I am.

We'll ignore the fact that we played well at Coventry and that a fair result at Colchester would have been 4-1 to us then and just concentrate on the first game of the season.

Which squad number did you get? - They must be desperate!





(Pompey will get the -10 deduction when they come out of administration - which is when they are transfered to the new owners - which could be the old owner - you follow?)
The odd issue for me is that they have been able to get a special dispensation to use the tranny market - evne though they are still in admin. They played all the kids in the league cup - mind you we played our first team and fecked up.

I was on a cruise in the Med with only CNN Worldwide as an English channel and with very, very expensive internet. Managed to see an English paper after the Shrews game so knew we had won but didn't know the other two results until late Saturday. As we are so far down the football food chain there isn't much info on us in an international edition of an English newspaper!!!

What it did bring home was how much I rely on instant information and how we all probably take it for granted. If you went on holiday abroad in the 70s/80s anything could have happened and you would never know
