I'm just saying, that's all. If he did, I wouldn't go. I'm hardly getting worked up by it, either.

But the man is a colossal bell end with no thought for anyone but himself.
He was near on disastrous for this club, simple as. It may not have been sudden, or overnight but effectively every year bar a few under his ownership, we were selling assets and going backwards.

That's why he was disastrous for SUFC. He was slowly but surely making us worse. The amount of times we heard "we need to cut our cloth accordingly". Oh piss off Kev, you knob sack.

He got lucky, when Wilder and Knill worked miracles with not a lot.

Glad to see shut of him.

Don't forget Prince was here with Wilder and Knill. Don't let McCabe take that glory.

As for calling him disastrous, careful you don't upset his fan club. There are some hardcore elements of it. They had a banner made for the hotel you know... Embarrassing.

I remember someone bringing up the Nick Blackman sale at one of those open forums he used to host. "Why sell our top scorer mid-season?" 'Hey, we made a million on that deal'. That was his actual answer. That and the whole 'when a big club comes knocking' shite. Looking at his tenure it really is a masterclass in fooling people.

3 ex players consortium Ive heard ,Marcus Bent ,Nick Montgomery and Rob Hulse.
Nick, Rob and Bent ,sounds like what we've got already really.

Leave the glittering lights of Hollywood to come back to Sheffield?, nah, can't see that myself, especially with the rumour that he is being lined up to be the next James Bond.

The only way McCabe is coming back, is if he has already got another buyer lined up, sold again before the ink is dry on the contract, the PL 'adventure' the money spent, and what's happened since, should make it obvious reminder,he doesn’t have the money to compete

Been told it's David Miscavige and friends. There will be some celebrity figurehead, rumour it's the eldest brother out of Malcolm in the Middle. I'll keep updated.

Tom Cruise to replace Stephen Bettis as CEO?

Sold to a Mr Kevinco McCabi who runs a business near sunny Scarborough.
No source other than “I’ve heard” seriously. If it was true be our lipuck it Abramovitch and not not Elon Musk

I heard it was Short and Curle at the back and Hai Dong upfront

I can't see the Prince selling now, I'd have thought it would be mad to see now when in a few months we could be a PL club and then he can sell the club for a ,much higher price. Maybe there's been initial discussions but can't see much in this right now.

Could look at it like the cash out option though?

Three tiers to the valuation

Championship club
Potential premier league club
Premier league club

Currently we are potential premier league club, if we don’t go up then we look at another 12 months in the championship minimum with a reduced parachute payment and a squad cull very likely

Any any buyer would be setting his valuation, heavily weighted at the Championship club option, or doing the most obvious and waiting, banking on us not getting promotion, and offering to 'help' the Prince by taking something off his hands, he needs to spend more money on to see a return to the PL

Whilst I still think its nonsense could a potential new owner be the reason we havent renewed certain contracts yet - Bash, Billy, etc? Easier to sell without as many assets on the books.

Intriguing.

It's the first thing I'd look for when buying a football club
A football club with no footballers

A team full of Lee Baxter's on very high wages vs a team with virtually no players contracted to the club - I know which option id choose if I was looking to buy a club.

I don't really think players on ten Bob a week or £300,000 a week enters a buyers head when buying a football club.

A potential football club owner sits down before launching his takeover bid and thinks to himself "Can I really afford Chelsea, or can I only afford Accrington Stanley"

Shit players on shit money will more than likely attract a shit buyer and things will stay shit.

Clubs with good players on good money with a good stadium and good infrastructure in a good City and location will attract richer buyers because everything about the club is expensive and only open to the few that can afford it.

I am genuinely surprised the number of interested potential buyers there are in Chelsea, yes a couple are partnerships or consortium's but still a little shocked re there sudden 'interest' which is not only driven by acquiring a PL club, not to mention World club champions, but also the potential of getting it at a cheaper price

Absolutely
Any buyer who would be put off by the size of Sharp and Bashams contract would want kicking out the door before he'd even stepped through it

And any potential buyer has his approach/negotiating plans to suit the situation, promoted this year,, Look I know you are a PL club, but come on, what happened last time,,,no promotion, You are a Championship team, need X amount spending and even then can't guarantee a quick return to the PL or on the investment etc etc

That's a point that it could be higher now than selling when we lose in the play offs! 🤣 ;) I can't see him selling now though, the potential cash from being a PL club would surely be too much to risk selling now. I can't see too many investors buying United unless it's McCabe!
