Interesting - I've just noticed that Graeme Crawford is in as the goalie in the 71/72 squad, but from my memory John Hope played all of that season and a bit in the season before as well.

Maybe they had to put things together a long time in advance in those olden times!!

Yes I had these...the first one with Best on it,and the year before which was just called Soccer Stars.
The odd player there wasn't a picture for was always a crap paint job.

Yep, had them all.
Even the last one with it's scandalous 20% price increase.
Obviously the 1970 World Cup issue should be in there as well.

Question.
Would we be the only team in all three editions that haven't had a change in the Honours won lines, presuming League Cup was included for the few teams that had won it by then?

Did anyone have The Star wallchart circa 72/73 ish.... back when it was still ethical to read it ?
Player cards came out with the paper over a period of time & ....not surprisingly.... you stuck them to the chart.
I can remember going back to Sheffield at weekends & our Auntie would have saved them up for us.
Needless to say, I have no idea what happened to mine but would love to see it again if anyone has any pictures.... maybe Sharrowblade ?
