we have the bottom 3 to play mk dons finish with the bottom 2
huddersfield have 3 v top 6 clubs
fortunately Wednesday are shite so it doesnt matter who they play, but theyve played all the bottom 4 twice already which is why they are in a HIGHER POSITION THAN THEY SHOULD BE

the average placing of the teams we have yet to play is 15th
the owls 10/11th

Well I reckon we should just scrape it.

Blades 15 points
Pigs 14 points.
Hudds 17 points
MK, not sure, not been following their form.

Playing the bottom 3 at this stage of the season is not a good thing, they will be fighting for everything down there. I've tried looking at everyones run in, but to be honest I'm taking each game as it comes as there will be a few more twists before the end of the season, afterall we never do anything the easy way.

so youd rather be playing charlton huddersfield and carlisle than chessy exeter and rochdale
Ill take our chances v those 3

There was a time when I used to prepare lists like Blade too long. I'd spend hours agonising over them.
Now I'm older and - hopefully - a little wiser. But I still get depressed when we have a bad result, and elated when things go well. However, there's absolutely nothing we - the fans - can do about it in the end.

Que sera sera.

If you had said the next 6 games will be against Notts c a , Tranmere h ,Brentford a, Colchester a and Walsall a and Oldham h ,you will win 2 draw 2 and lose 2 it would probably be the total opposite of what happened.

percentages

we like every club will have an occasional blip v lower teams
but we should , thats should take advantage now we are back to full strength against the weaker sides
in general weve disposed of the lower end sides quite comfortably

I always find it strange we can see other teams beating other sides , but never ourselves
5 wins , taking us to 88 and a couple of draws to 90 1 loss, in my opinion

I had us for 4-1 at notts county , williamson cost me 200 quid

Agreed, are most of you on here employed as analysts!!!
Lets just focus on this for now:

mk dons play 2 before we play chessy

That's interesting. If Wendy, Hudds and MK Dons (2) win their games before we play on Wednesday there will be 3 points covering the 4 of us. Things will get very congested...unless of course we win every game and then it's easy :p

But if charlton beat huddersfield and wendies draw or lose and dons drop 2 points , we go into the chesterfield game with a chance of putting clear water between us

Ever the optimist, I'd rather Huddersfield beat Charlton as we could then increase the pressure on the leaders with a win on Wednesday.

Its where we should be looking. They slip once and we win then its 6 points the difference. I bet thats Where DW has the players looking.

I rather think DW will have them looking at Chesterfield and no-one else.

We have 8 games left and if we win them all we are up, but we can't do anything about Charlton. It's entirely for them to fuck it up and then we'll see if we did enough to take advantage.

I'd rather Charlton won personally, the prize is promotion, the icing on the cake it the title.

Huddersfield losing help us acheive promotion better than Charlton losing...

Agree completely. At the end of the season, we just need to go up. If it is as champions, great. But 2nd spot still equals Championship football in 12-13. So yes, an away win for Charlton at Huddersfield would be mint.

After Hudds away this weekend they have

Orient
Oldham
Walsall
Carlisle
Wycombe
Preston
Hartlepool

All in all, not bad

No, I'd rather take it game by game, from previous experiences of analysing fixtures I know that it never goes to plan, and I also know there will be twists before the end of the season.

Yup, I'm fully expecting to enter full on pessimism mode again at some point in the next 4 weeks...

You take it game by game when you have to plan for the opposition. There's no team that we have left to play that we should be fearful of. Play our game and we'll batter them all.

We're back at full strength. I see no reason why we shouldn't be gunning for 8 straight wins

Absolutely!

Does your head in trying to work out what everyone's goner do!

The only thing that matters is the next 3 points and ensuring we get them. One game at a time for me

Normally I wouldn't be so confident, but listening to Wilson's pre match interview before notts county he sounded like a man on a mission. Not arrogance, just confident. He said he didn't care what county had, their form, their tactics. Just simply said he thought we had more than enough to win.

And win we did. Confidence has come back with the return to a full strength team. With Flynn, Hoskins and o'hall with bags of pace amongst them, the league's top scorers will be giving the oppo a lot more to think about.
