I doubt both ties will be played on the same day - surely we will get the Saturday slot, given that we have a non-league opponent and will virtually bomb out crowd wise if we have to play on the Sunday?

Trouble wise it would make more sense to move the pig game to the Sunday. Though I guess they may be having more of a Tevez/anti-Blade love in than scrapping with each other.

Man City v Man Utd. in the 3rd Round.

They clearly didn't get Sepp Blatter to fix the draw....

Barnsley have Swansea at home as well to throw another one into the mix...

Might end up being Wednesday's at home Friday night, like the Fleetwood game this weekend. Barnsley or/and us at home Saturday - or maybe one or the other on the Sunday.

Grimsby at home seems likely now they have home advantage
remember a 2 leg league cup encounter where we drew 3-3 at the Cleethorpes superdrome and ran out 5-1 winners at home, mainly due to having to leg it from their place whilst being greatly outnumbered coming out a bad exit, which took us through their Neanderthals

On reflection be better playing on same day as pigs as police can do it all in a day, instead of allowing traps to be set

My understanding is that its down to plod,if they dont object both games will be on Saturday. Because of the nature of the teams involved i.e Us pigs and spammers I`d guess the law will object. I then understand that the club involved in the tie first to be drawn (the pigs in this case) get to pick the day they want to play.

This may only be a gentlemans agreement and not official but I seem to remember it being quoted a few seasons back when there was a double home tie and we got shunted to Sunday

Unless of course the great god TV picks the game then it all goes out of the window:mad:

We used to have a gentlemans agreement that plod and TV notwithstanding, we would alternate the game that got shifted to Sunday/Friday.

thats presupposing Mandaric is a gentleman

lets not forget this is the club that swung a council planning committee meeting in 7 weeks to get the world cup bid ahead of us ,after wed took 4 years and 3 rejections despite Wednesday having no finance, only in Straffords dreams/ lies (insert nearest to the truth)

With our game to pull in around 5,000 fans i don't see a problem with Barnsley being at home pigs v cheats however i can see that being the sunday game.

Confirmed that it is Satdi at 15:00

Not sure about the pigs and shammers

OS says us on Saturday. The answer Rooks gave was to the question of when the Pigs v Cheats match was.
