Come on counting down to 11.05 for the highlights, you watch the only time I'm proper looking forward to seeing us on tv we will be on bloody last.

Just hit Radio Sheffield range at 18:55 and listened to the goals again, they made the hair on my arms and neck stand and tingle. Amazing, amazing day, best since Arsenal at t'Lane in the Premier League, we fought and scrapped so hard today and, whatever anybody might want to say, we had that bit of quality when it was needed and scored two superb goals.

My special mention is for Ryan Flynn, he was MOTM before he scored the goal, he was absolutely outstanding from start to finish today. He infuriates the hell out of me at times but what a performance today from the boy, he gave their left back problems all game and deserved to be the man who struck the winner. Murphy was immense as well, attacking wise in the first half but also in a more defensive role in the second half which will have gone unnoticed. Doyle was immense, Maguire and Collins dealt with Benteke with ease, Hill had his best game in a United shirt. Faultless performance, 8's and 9's all round and a big fat 10 for Flynny.

Shoreham Boys, we are here ... oh-oh ... oh-oh ...

I've followed this forum for about a year but tonight I felt compelled to express how proud I am - just incredible.

I'd almost forgotten we were capable of that kind of performance.

May more days like this light up the path that will lead to where our perpetually-suffering fans deserve to be.

Mr Clough, keep polishing that turd; HRH, please give him something more pleasant to polish.

Onward to Nottingham! :D

Listened on Radio Sheff.

Magnificent!!!

Deafening support from 6000 heroic Blades. Well done those who were there. Did someone say they were wasting their time? Hope he enjoyed his Chicken Tikka!

If my ears served me well players were heroes from 1-11? Flynny, Murph and Doyle worthy of particular note?

I hear the Prince was there with Big Jim? My word, if they didn't know already, they know now what a great club they have joined.

Finally, Nigel: A true Clough and very very proud and delighted to have you as our manager, mate! Slightly disappointed the Blades didn't raise a song for him (or am I mistaken?)

Sorry if this is a bit disjointed - Happy Ramblings on a great day!
Don't worry Pinchy, with a fair wind and XTC, we'll have a tune for Our Nige soon..Flynn got MOTM on our coach, with Harry 2nd..There were though 6,011 magnificent Blades at Vill Park today..Happy day...UTB

The whole day had that feeling ,saw loads of old faces and still felt we would win even when they scored.

I listened on R5live extra Sitters. I can honestly say that for once United seemed to boss the game, were beating a team that in theory should have stuffed us, the commentators said we deserved it, the fans were pure ace and everyone did the club proud. Probably the best result by United to those outside the city for many a long year.

Well done Blades and all at SUFC!

As soon as we scored the 2nd goal, literally the moment after Flynn hit the ball, the Radio Sheffield commentary cut out and went to the Wednesday game. I can only assume Paul Walker & Keith Edwards were so excited they unplugged something by mistake.

Basically, although it sounded like we had scored, we didn't know for sure until the commentary cut back 30 seconds or so later.

we got the last hour of RS picked it up around EMA ,so many bitter pigs tweeting :)
Listened to the Birmingham phone in before that ,interviewing Lambert saying he was misquoted and the he said the journalist was now regretting his interview. Turned out to be bull as the journalist was in the studio ,he said he regretted it because Villas press officer had made 3 x 40 minute threatening phone calls to him about it and was thinking of packing journalism in. Sound like they all deserve each other and a club in a mess.

The interview was broadcast on RS and was reproduced on the BBC football site but they only converted about 2/3rd of the interview to copy and this was not in the article so don't look it up.

Key was the last question

If the FA Cup is not important then what is important in football?

Lambert "a long contract"

Better to pocket the cash than give the fans success?

I honestly thought we'd get turned over today but I am so glad I was wrong.

A simply fantastic performance by everyone in a yellow shirt, great tactical plan by the manager and his team, the support today was something that I will remember until the day they lower me into the ground.

To the players, management and fellow supporters, today is why it's great to be a Blade.

Bee watching the blades for 50 years now and that is in the top 3 performances I have ever seen from a Blades team, and the support today was in the top 2 . My GRANDSON WHO HAS COME WITH ME FOR THe last 4 years learned today what it is to be a blade. I have always told him what the support can be like, and now he has witnessed it. He has not been as excited ever, well done to the team and well done to the support.
To be with my grandson to see what the blades are all about is one of the highlights of my life.

Spot-on! My 10 year old grandson came with me today for his first ever away cup match. He said it was the most exciting match and atmosphere he has ever seen. It was mine too and I've been going regularly for over 55 years

Just seen the highlights and it is as sounded, we bosses the chances and looked fairly comfortable even when they attacked. Bar the goal we didn't look too bothered by them.

I wonder if Flynn and Murphy will be cut a bit of slack now. Flynn in particular looked to cause them problems.

Once more proud to support my team. From out of the shadows something wonderful could once more emerge. Magnificent blades and will be so proud to go into work tomorrow.

Couldn't agree more! So proud of the club and fans today - huge credit to Nigel - reckon he is the man to bring the good times back to the Lane.

Bart: ... I feel so full of ... what's the opposite of shame?
Marge: Pride?
Bart: No, not that far from shame.
Homer: Less shame?
Bart: Yeah
