Didn't catch any of the game today due to work. Watched the highlight this evening and I've got to be honest, considering we played pretty much the first team from the championship, it looks and sounds like we were the better team? Very positive result today and maybe once the new signings have had a bit more time to bed in we could be even better

Watched on NBC. (How Hollywood).

Honestly we looked comfortable in the Premier League with many players making the step up.

Very equal game in regards to chances; neither side got their free flowing game on.

It all changed about 15 mins from time though when Freeman, McBurnie and Sharp came on. We looked much more dangerous and could of taken 3 points.

Can’t wait to see us at Bramall Lane with a more attacking approach vs Palace.

Thanks s11. Do you work/live abroad? I'm a chef so Saturday afternoons off don't exist 😂

We did well for our first game back at the top level , we’ll worth a point and on another day possibly 3 against an established mid table side .
Thought first half we were rushing things a little with the increased tempo , Howe had definitely told the there front two to press us and not allow us as much time on the ball , but second half we settled down and got on the ball more and looked a lot better .
We created the better chances McGoldrick & Robinson a couple a piece in the game but will have to be more clinical against better opponents, other than conceding a poor goal on the set piece the defence were excellent , kept Wilson & King very quiet .
A great start , a lot to build off . Well done lads

Poor for most of the game, but they were poor for all of it. We played panicky long balls from the keeper and Defence and McGoldrick and Robinson offered little in the way of making it stick. When we conceded we kind of switched on to how we normally play. We then looked by far the best team. Able to keep the ball, move it on the deck and more success out wide. If we play how we did at the end we will have a good go at this league, I hope it was just nerves initially.

We also need to be looking at putting a man on the post at set pieces.
Old school but I dont think they would of scored if we had done so.
IIRC the free kick Bournemouth had at the death even the commentator said how much room there was on Hendersons right hand side. Something that needs looking at.UTB

We did exactly what we had to do. Go there, don’t be intimidated by been in the prem, have a go but don’t get beat.
All 3 promoted team debuted away (but the fixtures are random right?) spurs & Liverpool were freebies as were all aiming for 17th or above, and that will be reached by accumulating points against teams in your own half of the league.
Bournemouth are no mugs, taking a point, Billy scoring and most importantly showing we belong at this level will do the job, bet the lads can’t wait to come in Monday! No matter how you say ‘don’t worry about the Liverpool result’ can’t imagine the Norwich lads will have the same buzz.
We will take a beating or 2, fuck me Spam debuted a striker I’ve never heard of that cost around our entire budget and got destroyed at home, but we will be fine.
Norwich Newcastle & Brighton for the drop

Sky extended highlights showed that we looked much better than the shortened MotD highlights. Not saying a bias or any other BS but the more you saw the better it looked.

They controlled possession. We didn’t do our normal high press so their centre backs were constantly passing it sideways, aimless possession.
Also they seemed slow and lethargic as though they expected it to be easy. Their attack was toothless with Henderson hardly having anything to do.

It was a bit of a poor game really. We were generally cautious being careful not to push too many men forward, so we didn’t create much either, however we did have the best chances, Was quite disappointed that we didn’t play our normal/ impressive attacking game due to a lack of attacking midfielders.

Then in the last 15 minutes we swapped Freeman for Lundstrum, brought on sharp and McBurnie.
The team was 0-1 down, so we had no choice but to attack. We committed men forward and played with freedom.
For the last 10 minutes we played our normal attacking game and looked far better than Bournmouth, who were just sat back handing on.
The goal was coming and was deserved. Overall we were slightly the better side but a draw was a fair result.

Plenty of positives, our defence looked very strong...Henderson didn’t have to make a save until the 58th minute.
In the last 15 minutes we played in the same attacking style as previous seasons and we had Bournmouth pinned back, so I’m hoping we can produce this at home.

Thought we did well today. Their goal came from having no one on the back post. Later on, they tried the same trick and this time we did have someone back there. We played some nice football at times, especially after there goal. I was concerned about pace and once or twice they hit us on the break and it was a bit tricky. After saying that I don't think they had a shot on target until well into the second half. All in all, I was well pleased, and really felt a bit teary when Sharp scored and celebrated with the fans. We were well worth the draw.

The main thing for me was that we didn’t look out of our depth which bodes well for the rest of the season.
I am even more confident that we will stay in the division now and I can definitely see us causing quite a few shocks this season UTB
