So with relegation all but confirmed who do you want to join us in lowly league 1? also who would you like to see promoted so they aren't a threat either?

Personally Donny to come down would be nice and scunny, however last time scunny came down they came straight back i think. Preston would be a big threat because i see Phil Brown as a good manager. As for teams promoted to the championship i hope to get rid of Southampton and probably Peterborough. Huddersfield will be a force next season but other than that i can't see many others. I fear the piggys will be stronger and may spend in the summer but lets hope it goes tits up for another season.

Who would you like to see come down? and who promoted to the championship?

I'd like it to look like this:

Accrington Stanley
Brentford
Bury
Carlisle United
Charlton Athletic
Chesterfield
Colchester United
Dagenham & Redbridge
Doncaster Rovers
Exeter City
Hartlepool United
Huddersfield Town
Leyton Orient
Milton Keynes Dons
Notts County
Oldham Athletic
Peterborough United
Preston North End
Rochdale
Sheffield United
Sheffield Wednesday
Shrewsbury Town
Tranmere Rovers
Yeovil Town

Donny, Wednesday, Posh and Huddersfield would all do well in that division. all got a bit of cash (bar donny) and my biggest fear is the grunters splashing 4 or 5 mill at it next year. lets hope the ginger prick fooks it up again.

I really dont know what to expect from us next year - we need so much doing to our side its unreal, and we dont even know if micky will be the man to do it.

I was really hoping this thread was going to be about players rather than teams.

Can't say I have much insight into the lower leagues we now find ourselves all but in, but know on my heart of hearts that we will have to pluck talent from where its cheapest from now on!

Any players from Div 2 that are talented enough to step up and young enough to develop into Championship players?

Just for the revenue we need Donny to drop with us btw

Lets cash in and at least reduce the wage bill by getting shut of Monty big heart but still can't manage the basics Quinnys much the same Henderson should never play for the club again diabolicle attitude for a senior player he dos,nt want to play anyway!
Ched would be a revelation in div1 but he will want away.
As for Doyle,Creswell,Collins ask Sheffield FC if they will take them.
The keepers a great shot saver but we all know he cannot command his box flapping at everything.

Who to keep? Well for a start the kids Slew, Macguire,Lowton, Philliskirk getting Morgan fit is crucial and dont treat the young uns them like Forte,Jordan Robertson and ruin them. A decent midfielder and a reasonable central defender and we,ll be heading in the right direction

...and WTF are Wednesday going to get that kind of money from?

...oh, I think we do...

A couple of players capable of playing a through ball and some pace with half a brain to read it and finish would be good. Likewise a couple of players who attack a cross/corner/freekick and a couple of set piece takers who can do more than hit the same ball over and over or not even get passed the first man.

Whether these are transfers in, academy or development squad promotions I really don't care. But I crave a team who wants to play and attack with purpose and pride. The pretty game isn't the priority but a hopeful byproduct of a team that scores. I don't think of those early games under Spackman as being technically great, so much as exciting and attacking. The ability to keep attacking and working an oppositions defence and keeper is the key.

Who can fill that within the current squad I don't know. But I'm willing to give Collins & Doyle their chance in such a team/squad.

attacking centre mid.. yawn.. how long have we been bashing on about this .. since browny left??

No team gets anywhere without one. But we need a team that plays as a team unit, attacks as a unit and gets the best out of each player. Speed tried to get more out of players than they had in their lockers and Adams, for me, has had the tasks of deprogramming that approach to then see the true lack of quality we have.

This season has been a lost cause from the very start, but the goal from now is obvious. I just hope we have better scouting than we've ever had so we can rebuild and move back in the right direction. We have to start trading up and not down. Effort at the right price and ship out the costly or wasted resources.

Whether you like the manager or not, surely it's the right thing to try and have a team where no player earns more that it's boss? Our imposed position pretty much will dictate this and should remove the egos from the dressing room, which is a battle won right there IMHO.
