Couldn't happen again could it?
Just been told a dollop of snow on it's way overnight and tomorrow. We could do without a postponement after the midweek victory to try and get another win before the stupid international break.
Fingers and toes crossed!

Can't see it based on the forecast myself. Don't think there will be enough and with the rain also expected probably won't get any settling on lower ground.

I wouldn't worry, doesn't sound like this will be anything like t'other week.

Forced to be called off, there's a meeting at the copthorne hotel again, I wonder if kev knows what he's doing and doesn't really want a meeting, conspiracy theorists will be all over it.

If snow falls tomorrow then it will be soft and not too slippy. It is more dangerous on the pavements when there is a few days of snow and then it turns into hard snow/ice

I would say there is very BIG chance the game will be called off looking at when and how the snow will fall after midnite and upto game time.

summary from link
Tonight:
Turning increasingly cold with rain turning to snow, initially over hills but progressively to low levels too. Snow becoming more intermittent later in the night. Bitterly cold easterly winds developing. Minimum temperature -3 °C.

Saturday:
Bitterly cold with strong easterly winds. Some ice in places at first. Bright spells and scattered snow showers through the day, with slight accumulations likely, partially melting in sunny spells. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Even if it's on it's gonna be bloody cold!!

Not again. We booked 3 train trips for this and the previous two fixtures, one of which had date altered and the other snowed off.

Haven't done the trip by train before- sod's law.

All those getting ready to blame the club in the event of snow could form little teams around the ground from mow until 3pm tomorrow, armed with snow shovels and clear it up as it comes down. That'll show 'em.

Mow?

We've got to cut the grass as well?

It's no wonder that KM makes so much money every year if he doesn't even need ground staff. Well spotted Sleuth Sean and please keep these insights coming.

The game will be on

Definitely won't be snowed off.
Everything's too wet for the same problems we had the other week. So whilst it'll be cold & likely there'll be a bit of snow about, the Desso will be looking fine & Bovril sales will be up!
Long John's & thermal top already out. Hat, scarf & gloves ready to go. Big coat warming above the hall radiator. Hip-flask airing.
Sorted.

As a retired postman I take it that's how you know me ?

Did you use to work in Pond Street? See my PM

I worked at Leeds CIty D.O twice (including LS3 -5) and also LS9 until they closed it and moved it up to Seacroft (LS14) to save money.

Was much too far for me to travel on a daily basis.

I hope its not off my season ticket is starting to look at costing me about £35 per game what with all the moves for TV, postponements!

Could be worse , i could have been paying that watching Adkins season

As a kid I remember going down to shovel snow off the pitch at the Lane in return to free entry to the match. If enough people came down and the snow could be shifted in time, the match went ahead. Icy pavements close to the Lane were gritted. I remember we ended up having a snowball fight on the kop, and some of the opposition players got pelted with snowballs too. Jumpers for goalposts eh?
