So far, for Sheffield, the BBC are showing a bit of light snow and sleet on Thursday then nothing.

Walsall has light snow on Thursday night and light snow showers on Saturday. If it falls as forecast, be reight.

Of course, the last few times we've had heavy snow, it wasn't forecast at all.

My attitude is always ill believe when it turns up Because newspapers always say "snow chaos" "snow to bring Britain to a standstill" & we either get nothing or something that falls during the night, then gone by lunchtime. Might be wrong but think it was end of November 2010 or 2011 the last time we had any kind of snow that lasted beyond a day

I take it you didn't go to Port Vale Boxing Day 2014.

With not being in sheffield forgotten about port vale game, but no i was listening on radio Sheffield because i had to go to meadowhall on boxing day as i had buy a game for when the relatives came that evening as apparently trival pursuit from 2000 wasnt suitable enough :);)

At times knightmare 8 hr journey in that snow after a defeat sounded much preferable than tackling meadowhall & trams:D

Thank you Wincey Willis ;)

You had to go to Meadowhall to buy a game because relatives were coming? Bloody hell! Could you not have used that as a reason why they shouldn't come? "Sorry, love to see you, but we've not got any board games to play". It sounds to me like your missus put you up to this - it's the kind of thing a woman would think of. I'd have suggested you play "spin the bottle" and "Mazola Twister" instead and if they don't like it, don't come.

I was also going to say 2014 and the Port Vale game in particular. That was the worst I remember in all my time of watching the Blades. It's just as well I had a 4x4 as I wouldn't have made it back the route I came via. Leek, Longnor, Crowdecote, Hurdlow, Monyash, Bakewell etc. In some ways it worked out to my advantage going that route, because there was no one else daft enough to try it. So no hold ups with cars blocking the roads and stuff. It was only when I got to Meadowhead in Sheffield that the chaos really started.

Walsall away then...that's quite an easy journey - A38, M6 toll. Good roads all the way there. Can't see snow being a problem for that one. But you never know...
