Lots forecast from Thursday onwards, those deadly dangerous pavements around S2 are going to be an issue...

Can see SAG and SYP getting an itchy trigger finger for the Bolton game already..

FFS been off for a month and hardly any snow to worry my 4x4 and now i'm away we'll get snow!

If SAG and SYP consistently call games off for ice and snow around the ground it makes a mockery of having under soil heating really

I put winter tyres on my 4x4 last year and am still running on them. You won't need to change yours I wouldn't think as I remember you've got a new car, but when you do come to change them it's worth considering. They've worn just as well as the normal summer tyres but you've got even more grip in snow and ice. I put Continental Winter Contact on mine.

Not what the overly cheerful Scottish lass said on BBC Beakfast this morning.

Don't mention Carol on here you'll get some in a flutter!

TBF the only reason I looked is everyone was on about it in the office this morning. I don't usually pay much interest in the weather forecast. I get up in the morning look out of the window and deal with what's there.

I'm due to work in Bradford Thursday so thought I'd see.

BBC weather site says heavy snow tomorrow then sleet / light snow showers for rest of week.

Balls.............
Orange balls. What our record with orange balls ?

Here they are again, first chance they get.
"Oh yar, my Garaarge recommends these for when we simply have to drive in snow".
Tyre snobs belong in the twats thread.

Checked a few weather web sites and Saturday looks fine.

Forecast is for a small amount of sleet very early morning, temperature won’t be cold enough for snow.
Also the forecast for Saturday afternoon is partial cloud but mainly sunny.

Thats part of the reason i wanted to try it. Mine came with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All seasons and they're supposed to be a 4 season tyre. I've also got new Konig XXL snow chains as i part exchanged my old ones with snowchains.co.uk

Ha ha i still can't believe that the UK hasn't caught on to Winter tyres. Its not just about driving in the snow, but colder and wetter conditions.

But you carry on in your little bubble :D

Bad marketing maybe. If they were known as 'superior grip' they'd roll off the shelves.

Pretty much most cars I've had have been transformed from pissed up bambi to mountain goat. Wouldn't use anything else.

I think that its probably more likely that people see it like boo radley 'tyre snobbery'

Even the smallest amount of research online will pull up a tonne of evidence in favour of winter tyres, i think its perhaps the stubborn attitude combined with the initial cost

Winter tyres are old hat now. All-season tyres are the future.

The problem with an all-season tyre is that a summer tyre is better in summer conditions, i.e. 8 months of the year. It's difficult to argue against winter tyres in winter but having somewhere to stash the tyres when not in use is a problem for many.

The weather forecast on BBC Breakfast - one of the most stuck up features on the Breakfast programme.

'And now it's over to Carol at the Henley Regatta'

.........Carol at the Chelsea Flower Show'

........Carol at Wimbledon'

If the BBC is supposed to reflect our country then this certainly doesn't.

I want to see and hear

'And now it's over to Carol outside the Bankers Draft'.

Outside the BankersDraft. :)

Somebody telling her to get her tits out, two drunks fighting, Star reporter interviewing Japanese tourist about 9000 Wendy fans at Chelsea, tramp sat on floor masturbating surrounded by pigeons, Greggs queue stretching around the corner, Tango and PG Metcalf frightening children.
