I know it's stating the obvious, but not one of the top six clubs managed to win in their midweek games. With one point, we came out of it relatively well. I wonder if the fans' message boards at Preston, West Brom, Middlesborough, etc. are as full of doom and gloom as ours?

Having said that, we should have taken six points from our last two games, which would have put us in a very strong position behind Newcastle. However, I suspect that even if that had happened, it would not have been good enough for some.

I suspect they are, it's just the way of many fans these days. We all think we've got a right to be successful.

At least we're not Reading, they haven't won at home since January!

Middlesbrough fans have been doom and gloom all season.

I can understand the doom and gloom from our fans to an extent, but I'm trying to be quite patient about it all.

Saturday's game is a MASSIVE game for us, and one we need to win with a decent performance to give the fans a bit more belief in the team. For me it's the biggest game of the season so far, because it will show how much character we've got, or haven't got.

If not, hopefully an International break will do us good for a change...

Midlesbrough's fans are chanting for Southgate to go and had their lowest ever attendance at the Riverside this week.
They've been in a UEFA Cup Final recently, won a trophy, been in other finals etc.
Gives us a bit of perspective on a bit of booing for a club which had 10,000 more in the stadium on Tuesday, has spent one season out of the last 15 in the Prem and hasn't been to a major cup final for over 70 years.

Of all the fans I know, only the Blackpool and Citeh fans seem to be happy with things at the moment. Even then, the Blackpool fans think their bubble has burst after defeat on Tuesday.

Just goes to show that this division is there for the taking again for the team brave enough to go for it as Wolves did last season. Are we that team....... answers on a postcard.

If I had to be a smoggie, I'd have been all doom and gloom from birth in 1974, let alone since August. The fact that I'd have to visit Gruesome Park would have been enough for me to call for the Mogadon at the very least.

I went to Gruesome Park on Easter Monday 1995 to see a 1-1 draw. It hammered it down with rain, sleet, and snow all day long and we stood on a corner that was open to the elements

Uwe Fuch got sent off for Boro for taking out Kevin Gage. Jan Aage Fjortoft scored early on for Boro, and Nathan Blake got the equaliser

Darren and Silent, you crown has been well and truly stolen.

Glyn Hodges actually, and one of the worst tackles I've ever seen. Bassett was going ballistic.

"Uwe Fuch got sent off for Boro for taking out Kevin Gage."

Presumably the ref said to him: "Fuch.... OFF!"

No most fans would be happy that we are giving the teams that came down a run for their money.

too true Blademan. We could be in a fantastic position: not playing well, best form still to come, but up there with the big boys. Unfortunately poor individual mistakes and defensive errors have cost us. Fans have a right to be frustrated.
