The pig with a face like a smacked arse is not playing tonight since he has spat his dummy out and squeeled back to the sty.
(actually his loan has expired but lets not let facts get in the way of a forum thread).

Pigs beat this lot 3-1 last month. Karl Robinson was stating that they would give the Pigs a footballing lesson when he was a guset at a live match on Sky.
Wonder what sort of game it will be at the Lane tonight.

I predict another draw 1-1 with Clarke netting his first for the club.
I also predict that Simmo will get booed and flip the finger at the kop.

Any more for any more?

Your prediction is precisely what you'd expect to happen. Which is why I foresee a 4-0 victory, Simmo pulling off a string of fine saves, commanding his area like Patton and Porter netting a hat-trick. Simmo to score the 4th goal in the last minute from a corner, rising like a salmon to place a perfectly weighted header beyond the reaches of Martin's despairing grasp to top off a man-of-the-match performance.

I assume, absent a late announcement, that Simonsen is going to play tonight, which in my humble opinion is just nuts.

Lots of luck Steve. If ever you needed a good game, it's tonight...

If Simmo tries to flip the finger at the Kop he'll just end up pointing at John St.

My prediction is Long will start tonight and we will win 2 nil first clean sheet for us in 6 games.

Simmo or Long? Wilson is damned if he does; damned if he doesn't.

Might as well toss a coin...

Cant start that schoolkid. Simmo for me.

Said in Radio Sheffield this morning Wilson still has a decision to make on the GK shirt and that he will assess Simmonsens frame of mind /mental state

I think he will play Simmo tonight since MK Dons are not a launch it and pieces side.
I put this as a draw as both teams are likely to fight it out on the deck, potentially cancel each other out.
Pigs probably beat MKD by using same tictacs they used in the derby match by throwing the bigguns in and looking for the second phase ball. Cannot condemn them for playing to their strengths but it is effective against sides that play in the way we are this year (and connot defend set pieces properly).

MKD may be a little light up front these days since they sold their best player to the Shammers.
Hence the 1-1 since our chances of keeping a clean sheet are about as much as Darren's at a Max Mosley party.

Blades win 3-0.

Clarke, McDonald, Simonsen [punches one in from a corner; Ref unsighted]

Our problems seems to be with throwing away a lead towards the end of the game.

So play Simmo from the start. Replace him with Long for the last 15 minutes.

Sorted.

leave the man alone, why not sing his name tonight out loud give the man some confidence, simmo- simmo, it might do him wonders.

Agree with the sentiment but one of the problems that Simmo has is that he has a dual personality. A mistake early on in the game normally means more to come; a good first 75 minutes seems to give him renewed courage and he starts coming for balls that he wouldn't normally, with the inevitable consequence. Support him yes but don't buoy him.

Think we might just edge it tonight, 1-0. Evans to score late on after coming off the bench from a defence splitting McDonald pass..

Simmo to start and have a quiet game as the majority of the play is in the centre of the park.

Clarke, McDonald, Simonsen [punches one in from a corner; Ref so impressed, he thinks "Meh, fuck it. Why not?"]

It's the last minute. It's 0-0. MKD get a free kick in the centre circle. All players pile in the box except Evans and 2 MKD defenders. The ball is lofted in and 3 MKD players run towards it as it starts to fall around the 6 yard line. Simmo comes out. His arm is pointing upwards. He is going to punch. There is a collective noooooooooooooooooooooooo from the crowd............... Simmo rises magnificantly and punches the ball all the way to the half way line directly to the feet of Evans who runs on, outpaces the 2 defenders and slots the ball in for a 1-0 victory.

The crowd goes wild, Simmo is chaired from the field etc etc.

Foxy has already alluded to Long being given the gloves this evening on a separate thread.

Would be delighted if Chedless Chicken gets the winner tonight - no seriously, I would.
Got a feeling that Billy Clarke is going to get on the score sheet tonight.
I predicted Porter getting the winner at Orient at the weekend on the shoutbox - I was right all the way up to 90 + 6 :(

Bookies go for a draw as well. MKD drawn 5 of last 7 and us 2 of last 3

....and I'll bet with your memry you can tell us exaclty the last time an incident such as that actually happened in a game (in this Universe)?

Can't vouch for the poster but someone on BM reckons he's out, so we'll see.

Just not sure that Long is quite ready and so on that basis, I'm bolloxed as to know what the right course of action is

I'll guess we shall know by 21:45 whether young Long has kept a clean sheet or not.

The pig with a face like a smacked arse...

That description could be half the squad. Any chance you can narrow it down a bit..?

...Simmo to score the 4th goal in the last minute from a corner, rising like a salmon...
