Bit early like touch wood cross fingers one game at a time and all that but still, it's very nice being held in such high regard if only for how much it annoys Wendy fans haha

I’d love it work out out like that but, let’s be honest, that prediction is fucking ridiculous. Look at the positions of Villa, Sunderland and Cardiff for example.

I'm a big fan of statistical analysis and using it to help understand what has happened and why. But as a tool for predicting future football results it's absolutely useless

Aye, but you know there'll be loads of Wednesdayites coughing and spluttering going "bobbar bobbar we'll finish above pigs Carlos Carlos massive Sid James.jpg" and for that alone it's worth doing haha

Sky are a nightmare for shit like this. They've invested nothing in any sort of statistical analysis on football and then spew stuff like this up with no theory to back it up. Lazy

Elo based systems are probably better than most ranking systems but as it's taking into account previous seasons it's probably a load of bollocks, and if I wanted an accurate line on us to go up I'd look at oddschecker first

What a load of bollocks, they have one thing right though the pigs will struggle just to make the play offs.

I won't agree with anything that predicts we'll finish lower than Champions

If that is all it achieves, it is still a worthwhile exercise.

Having said that I can't see the scabs finishing in the top 6, nor Villa and Boro finishing outside.

Its like the weather forecast, predict warm sunny weather? brilliant, predict snow and sub zero temperatures? What the fuck do they know

Didn't some fucker from a Manchester sports university , predict last year
That Bolton where doing to win the league and we'd struggle into the playoffs
Great we are second and 9 points from 7 th and
4 games up on the pigs but let's not count to many chicken yet

At the 99% confidence level I'd say you are correct.
