Its more than that. It’s about preference, even if it’s unconscious. If you or I commented on a blades match, try as we might, we would describe everything from our perspective. That’s what Waddle did in his joke commentary on our Newcastle game. I’ve heard enough from Goodman over probably 50-60 games to sense a trend. From minute one in the Forest game, it was clear there was a preference, possibly swayed by the romance of the Forest story (fair enough). That preference then leaked through into the commentary, whereby it became irritatingly apparent. I don’t think SKY have an agenda of any sort.

I agree for the most part Sky's coverage of the Championship is decent despite the former Wednesday players involved.
