The game on Friday isn't 3/4 thousand down doubt if the Leeds game will be either. It's not a leap of faith to say the attendances are down because of the price of match day tickets not just sky IMO

The Leeds game will be 26,000 - 27,000 instead of what should be 30,000
TV does create a drag on non season ticket holders who haven't committed to turning up every game.
We're already 2,500 down this season because the red button is very tempting for some

It's the reason why home clubs get bigger fees than the away club, it's a form of compensation

Attendances are down due to ridiculous increases on match day tickets. The club as literally said, no season ticket? You're fucked then.

Why would anybody not want the Blades to be live on TV........
Perhaps if you've booked a pre-Xmas do for the Friday evening, and have a season ticket and were expecting to be able to use it for one of the most attractive fixtures of the season, v WBA, making it a good pre-Xmas weekend. You might be forgiven for thinking that TV viewers are given priority over fans who follow their team through thick-and-thin. There could be long-term implications of giving priority to TV viewers and regarding those who go to matches as an optional extra. As we know from our recent experience in League 1, TV doesn't stick with the club in bad times...

Or maybe cos it's your mates 50th birthday on 15th and going in Platinum Suite and it's your wife's birthday on the 14th Bleeding Sky

Long distance Away game planning for fans who live long distances from both Sheffield and the away town is the arse. I have to book 2 nights accommodation in case Sky move it to the Friday or Saturday night and you can’t get back on a train. The club coaches generally don’t do a detour home via East Kent.

If I wasn’t such an ugly fucker our lass may think I had some skirt on the go. “So you can’t even tell me what nights you’re away and when you’ll be back then....” “remind me why you have to stay overnight in Swansea for two nights then....”

Sky causes lots of unintended consequential grief..

The boxing day match being televised feels odd but other than that I haven't got a problem with it tbh.
The Pigs, Millers and Weeds games were always likely to be on Sky anyway, all classed [in their eyes] as a derby, that can be justifiably moved from 3pm Saturday for perceived 'safety' reasons - although sticking us against the Pigs on a Friday night makes a mockery of that.

In any case, we seem to be almost as popular as Bielsa's Barca or FLDC. Enjoy is while it lasts, plenty of us will still attend in the flesh.

So let me get this straight
Fans of our club are complaining because our club is being shown to a far wider audience than the
26 k that would be in the lane
While I’m an exiled Blade , I think it’s fantastic that our club is getting recognition for its brand of football it plays , and our style of play
If I could I would be over far more often than I am , even if it was on the Telly
but seeing us on sky , the added exposer , the kudos and extra finance it brings in , showing our club in a good light to attract new players , and fans maybe
What is there not to be proud of ,
Fucking save me a fortune as well
Right up to bed now , I’ve to get up early to set off for the airport for pig game later today ( even though it’s on sky )

Has it?

I don't have a season ticket and find paying per ticket relatively reasonable for the games I can get to (probably 1/3rd-ish home games) per season). Granted it's more per game than if I had a Season Ticket, but I can't get to every game so there's no point getting one.

Where is the confirmation that the WBA and Derby games have been moved for Sky? I've looked on both the Sky and the SUFC sites and there's no mention of this.....

Work Christmas do is at lunchtime on the Friday in Glasgow. I could have stayed in Glasgow for an extended night out, but booked a train home so that I could go to the match on the Saturday.

Thank you SKY, I now get to miss it completely.

Our prices are relatively reasonable if you’re comparing them to say Wednesday or Leeds match day prices. It doesn’t change the fact that our match day prices against the likes of fucking Preston have been category A.

The misuse of the word ‘literally’ is literally pandemic.

The use of the word 'pandemic' is literally a tragedy and probably a nightmare too.

It is like, literally, used too much, so that it is literally like, no longer awesome.

People moaning about fixture changes, people moaning about people moaning about fixture changes. Classic S24SU stuff.

Bottom line is that they suit some and not others.

For me personally - evening week day fixtures are no good as I work away and can't get there in time (apart from tonight as I am taking unpaid leave).
So the West Brom move to a Friday has screwed that match up for me, along with my plans for that week end.

But you don't find me complaining ......oh hang on ....awkward..

The more neutrals seeing Wilders Dom Perignon Football served up on an Asti Spumante budget the better

I bet 90% of the people complaining on this thread pay for Sky Sports as part of their TV package and will most likely watch at least one football match on Sky Sports this weekend.......

Kind of my point pal.

As a veteran pay-on-the-dayer (so to speak) I'm happy with the cost as is. If I were having to pay £40+ at Wendy I doubt it would be justifiable to go to as many games as I currently do.

If they really have to change the fixture 5 weeks before hand they could at the very least keep it on the same fucking day.

Loads of people will be on work do's that night so will either lose money or not be able to attend. Plenty (home and away fans) will have lost money on train tickets, hotels, etc.

Not to mention Friday nights are shit for football.

They could, IF they gave a shit about the poor bastards who attend the games.

Sky's customer is the armchair supporter. The idiots who brave all weathers and have the inconvenience of cancelled trains/hotels changing work shifts etc, are only there to provide the 'atmosphere'.

But you knew that, didn't you?
